You can join anyone's team ...or raise your own money...BUT ...One must raise at least $75.00 in order to attend this event. That is GMHC's rules. No one is being shady. Hello everyone, The return of the GMHC (Gay Man's Health Crisis) Aids Dance-A-Thon will be Saturday, December 11th at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. This event will be a 5 hour dance a thon featuring DJ's Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Peter Rauhofer, Beverly Bond and Tony Touch. This night will also be hosted by celebrities and feature surprise performances. They haven't had a dance-a-thon in a couple years. I'm execited that they have brought it back. The scene has been low. I come from the late 80's. In the 90's the whole lounge thing started. Thats what killed the scene. Then club owners got greety with money. They started raising prices and not spending the money on entertainment. Then there became such a thing as promoters and sub promoters. Thats crazy. Before you were fab or not fab. Then people went to a club because it was going to be fun .... not soley based upon the DJ. DJ's didn't make thousands of dollars a week. Club owners forget to just make a party fun. Not just book a DJ and forget about the other elements involved. I use to go to Club USA because it was fucking amazing and fun. Hardly didn't know who the DJ was. You just knew you were going to be entertained and the place would be decked out. Parties should be based upon FUN!! Thats the element thats missing. I was also around during the club kid era. Theres no such thing as club kids anymore. You would have to pay someone to dress up now. Lets not say special K helped the zombie scene either. Enough said....

Is this a battle of the Tunnel reunion partys?? Disco is the size of my apartment and Ikon is the size of 200 of my apartments. Hmmmm ...I saw the first Tunnel promotion at Ikon like 3 weeks ago. Now I just hear about the one at Disco. Somebody doesn't like someone....hmmmmm. As Cyndi Lauper says... I see your true colors. Hopefully they will both be successful like New York use to be. Can't we all get along.....

I was told the DIVAS from the Tunnel Friday night party will be at IKON on Saturday night ....Jened, Anthony Lamont, Miss Understood, Jacquee, Delicia, BeBe, Peppermint Gummybear, Mabe-lean etc... The day they have a Ikon reunion party I won't be at that. But this party should be good. I have alot of friends that are going for the hell of it and we called up people that we haven't seen since the Tunnel days. No matter what our circle of friends will have fun. Were calling it our night out. Plus I heard that Jened and that gang from the Tunnel is all going to be there. Sooo the group you see in the corner havin fun.....thats us!! MUWAH!!
