  1. my roommates used to get a pound of weed shipped from arizona once a month. i forget if it was ups or fed ex but we called after one did not show up and they said it was detained, i then moved out.

    LMFAO...

Moving out was a good call.

  2. I am surprised they recommended death. No physical evidence was ever presented. Couple that with the fact it is CA and I would have thought life for sure...Dont get me wrong, Im not shedding any tears for this guy, but I am surprised.

The guy is going to get killed by another inmate anyway so I doubt this even matters.

  3. Kelley Blue Book picks the 2005 vehicles most likely to hold their value.

Most of the top 2005 model year vehicles expected to retain their value the best are luxury models, and two are from BMW and two are from Nissan.

Kelley Blue Book, which tracks vehicle worth, said six vehicles from luxury brands and specifically the 2005 BMW 5-Series and the BMW-built MINI Cooper, as well as the Nissan 350Z and Nissan-built Infiniti G35 Coupe, are likely to have lower depreciation than the norm.

Besides the BMW 5-Series and Infiniti G35 Coupe, the luxury brand vehicles are the Acura TL, Lexus GX 470, Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 Cabriolet and the Porsche Cayenne.

  4. Problems abroad become problems at home. By pushing for democracy in a region that is known for theocracies and monarchies, the US is changing politics in the Middle East forever.

The majority of Afghan people do not hate us. In fact, we are regarded as liberators. Iraq is a different story although it is my feeling that the majority of Iraqi's will be behind the democratic govt that they are about to elect. As soon as this happens, the terrorists lurking in the shadows will have far less places to hide.

  5. M-series are great cars.. only downside is BMW's depreciate at an insane rate since they come out with new body styles every year. I hear they're making an M6.

Actually, this statement is completely incorrect. The only car that holds value as well as a BMW is Mercedes. BMW was actually best in 2003 going into 2004.

Second, BMW models are re-designed every 7 yrs. This change in models started w/ the 7 is 2002, then the 5 in 2004, and finally the 3 will be new for 2006.

M versions come out about 12-18 months after the original(but this isnt in stone).

  6. Here is a link for M5 pics...

I prefer the Carrera4 to the Turbo. The 4 has more potential to reward and punish you at the same time. I prefer the RWD to the AWD in a sportscar. I have only driven the 911T for 5 minutes and it was bad ass but the 4 is more me.

The E55 AMG is one of my favorite cars around. However, it is going to be trumped in performance by the M5. This isnt surprising considering the fact that the E has been out for a few years and the M5 is brand new. Give Merc-Benz a little time and we will probably see 550-575hp or more for their E55.

  7. Hopefully it will not be designed by Chris Bangle. They need to fire him!!! The new 5 and 7 look awful, IMO. The 7 series has so many problems with that iDrive system.

The M3 is a beautiful car and very powerful but Audi's new S4 has really caught up. With the Quattro drivetrain as standard, it may not be a "true" sports car but it definitely handles as well as the M3. :D

First off, the iDrive blows. I have spent hours using it and I still think it blows. The Audi version(in A8) is much more user friendly and far more intuitive.

The previous generation 7 was bad ass(sport pkg wheels were key) but the new 7 has grown on me. I go back and forth on the design of the new 5. Not taking any other cars into consideration, I dont mind it(especially the 545 w/ Sport Pkg wheels). However, when I consider the new A6 and the E, I think a little less of the 5 and would lean toward either of these b/f I would get the 5.

My girlfriend drives an '04 A4 1.8T w/ quattro. I use the word solid when I talk about the car. The thing handles like it is on rails. I havent seen the traction control cut on yet b/c it is nearly impossible to break the rear loose. I agree that the S4 may not be a "true" sports car but it is an amazing vehicle. For fun factor, I prefer a rear wheel drive car but for normal operations, awd is very safe and extremely practical.

  8. So based on religion we should force people out of the country?

Or should i say if you do not like the fact that we throw our religion down your throat, you should not complain you should just move.

    sounds good

1-no one is getting forced out

2-Christianity is not shoved down people's throats all the time. Are there fanatics? Of course and they annoy me as a Christian as much as they would annoy a non-Christian.

  9. Don't throw this back at democrats, this is a non partisian issue. I find it hard to believe that most republicans and the republican machine (rush, hannity) are making this a non issue.

Everyone is so for the war, but when complaints come to the administration their first reaction to to bash the source.

    shame on you

Im not bashing the source or trying to make this a non-issue. I just find it interesting how committed to military spending Democrats have become.

As I stated earlier, war is tough and you dont always have every single thing you need at every second. Sometimes you have to take what you have and make it work. This has always been the case and will continue to be the case. We arent going to delay a mission b/c there isnt a brand new windshield wrapped up in tissue paper to install.

  10. intro_foto2_a.jpg

this is the only porsche I would ever buy.

you cant really compare sports sedans and kid movers or two seaters. Is it expensive...yes...do people not drive it the 130+ its capable of YES! and...it's the same with most cars.

I certainly WOULD put kids in an M5. One of the safest cars imo...safer than some minivans. Its all in how you drive with the kids in the car.

ps. There are no 05 M5 crash pictures yet because its just coming out. But at least the guy survived the crash! :pint:

    Nice choice on the GT.

BMW's attn to safety is rivaled only by Mercedes and Audi. There is no minivan that crash tests better than the M5(new or old) so you would do well to throw the kids in the back of the M.

  11. Well I liked the 2004 but I just saw the 2005 and think they're kinda ugly now.....but I wanted to know everything about them. How they ride, reliability, depreciation. I know the costs. I also kinda like the 325I. Thanks guys.

    There was no 2004 M5.

There are no real changes in the M3 from 2004 to 2005 but a new generation 3 Series will come out next model year w/ the new M3 probably following in 2007.

What car are you asking about?

  12. I find it interesting how the people making the biggest deal out of this are the ones who voted for John "first I voted for the funding before I voted against it" Kerry. I never knew Democrats were such strong supporters of military spending.

The questions were fair and I dont have an issue with the fact they were asked. The reporter did a good job and made DR answer questions w/ no prep. More power to him.

  13. Every religion has fanatics who are out there recruiting. The caller is obviously hypersensitive about the issue. Personally, I think O'Reilly got this one right. If you want to live in a nation that is predominately Jewish, Israel is for you. If you can handle living in a nation that is predominately Christian, stay here.

I went to an Episcopal school and there was a Jewish kid in our class. Every year, we had a Chanukah(sp) party that his mom put together for us. We played dradel, sang songs, etc. I didnt feel like they were trying to convert me.

  14. It isnt my intention to devalue what happened. Im just pointing out that this isnt some soldier coming up w/ questions to ask at the meeting. The questions were fair but unexpected by DR.

War is a tough proposition. The parts needed arent always around. Sometimes soldiers have to make do. I encourage you to find a war that situations like this did not occur.

  15. Not the last generation. But like I said, its all a matter of opinion. Honstly, if I wanted to spend that kind of cash, I wouldn't really like a sedan that is priced in the same range as a porsche. Thats not the kind of car that i'd tote my kids around in. For that kind of power, id want want something smaller and more compact.

I mean granted, its probably a great car but I guess Im a purist.

As a purist, the Lotus Elise must fire you up. The weight to power ratio is incredible and the car is fun as hell to drive. Plus, the price tag isnt too bad. Of course they are selling for over sticker right now but wait a few months and that wont be the case.

Unfortunately, cars like this can beat you to death and are totally impractical. That is why cars like the M5 appeal to people who love to drive but need 4 seats. You can have fun but still be professional.
