  1. Yes, the event provides every variety of dance music. Depending on the night, you can hear anything that suits your style. Chad Will and Kares will be rippin the breaks on Sept. 15th all night (well, in Boston, that means until 2am). Next week will have a mix of progressive house and breaks with Etiquette of Rise and Jaren Skinner from Orlando, Florida. Tonight is Walt Zink (house) and Jam-2 with a rare Boston set of UK Garage/2 step!

Check it out. This month's lineup is unreal and next month's is sure to impress as well.

  2. Jam-2

He cites Hip Hop legendaries, Grand Master Flash, Afrika Bambaataa and Grand Wizard Theodore, along with former Boston DJ turned international producer Armand Van Helden and London's UK Garage pioneers, The Dreem Teem as a few of the sources that helped grow his interest in spinning.

Behind the decks he serves up a wicked concoction of UK Garage in its multitude of variant mutations. Although focused primarily on the UK Underground sound, he can also be heard fusing tracks of Pre-Millennium Hip Hop, B-Boy Breaks, R&B/Soul, and Classic House, Booty Bass, and Latin boogaloo along with DJ Senyo of the SoulChampion Crew under the "DarqSyde" moniker.

As a member of The SoulChampion Crew, Jam-2 has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best UK Garage DJs in the country which has helped him develop his own unique style. "G-Notorious, Elyte and Senyo have raised the bar for me significantly and it's always fun to work along side these talented DJs ...It gives me an opportunity to have fun playing music that I love or wild out on the dance floor and take on the role as the party ambassador." A role he serves comfortably when he's among the crowd of party go-ers on the dance floor or commandeering the decks.

Whether he's campaigning projects for his own media/events company, Bostown Massive, DarqSyde, or as a member of The SoulChampion Crew, Jam-2 is a "Purveyor of The UK Underground Sound," so you can expect spontaneous outbreaks of dancing and good times for anyone who frees their mind lets the music move them. Comfortable dancing shoes are strongly recommended.

  4. This Friday August 26th, WERS (88.9 FM) will be airing a live mix session of mine between 11PM-2AM on their Revolulutions show (hosted by dj Sarin).

  5. Wow. Pros, go easy man. Heh. You're heart is definitely in the right place. I'm sure people are feeling you but did you have to go and smack em all in the mouth?

It was a good time for sure but these things take time...one week at a time. I hear ya though. We had some good people down there though. Thanks for the praise man. People will get down there. It's just difficult during the summer, mid-week and starting a night from zero at a venue that people are not used to attending. The funny thing is that women outnumbered the guys like 3:1 for a while.

It's always still a great time and a fun crowd, even though the crowd is small for now. That's just how the business goes. Come September, we'll get people down there to enjoy the night with the rest of us.

But seriously, that was a great post. Hilarious, bro!

disclaimer: I had nothing to with this.

  6. I can't believe that he played "deep inside the groove". I thought I was the only person with that badly produced track. It's cool but not mix friendly. The tempo slows at the very end. Maybe I have an earlier release with that issue (unsigned white label) but I refuse to play it live.

Also, what's with all the glitches? Were there technical issues with the mix or with the recording/uploading?

Very chill mix so far though.
