  1. BTU Recordings proudly brings you... Weekend Live featuring Shiloh November 3, 2006. Club Red, Birmingham, AL Shiloh Baroque Rec.--Hope Rec.--Floppy Disks--www.shilohmusic.ca Warning: Shiloh Does Kill! Colin and Justin Moreh are the 2 peas that form the Shiloh pod. The brothers are collectively 2 of the hottest and most prolific dance music producers around and have firmly entered into the A-list of producers of underground dance music. One of the busiest production teams of the last 3 years, Shiloh is signed to Baroque Records and Hope Recordings (hand-picked by Nick Warren himself) and has remixed for labels like EMI. They enjoy huge support by the who’s who list of the biggest DJ’s including Sasha, Paul Van Dyk, James Zabiela, Armin VanBurren, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Luke Chable, Nick Warren etc. and their records have topped hype charts and sales charts the world over with their very first offering, the massive “Will U Ever Come Aroundâ€, signed to a reality TV series in the UK. They’ve also racked up numerous compilation appearances—among the most recent being Nick Warren’s Global Underground 28 – Shanghai, Paul van Dyk’s the Politics of Dancing 2, and Dave Seaman’s Renaissance Presents – The Masters Series Volume 7, and Therapy Sessions 3. Shiloh’s BBC Radio 1 mix on Annie Nightengale’s show (one of the most listened to radio shows in the world) went off to massive praise. They are Proton residents with one of the most popular shows and are in the highest demand as DJs--seeing Shiloh play in all the far reaching corners of the globe, headlining at some of the best clubs, parties, and festivals around the world in Europe, Asia, and North America. Things on the producing front have been massive as ever with Shiloh regularly partnering with Luke Chable in collaborative efforts which has ultimately culminated in a new group forming, “Trackerâ€. Undoubtedly, the new trio will be causing a huge stir in the months to come. Truly, Shiloh’s DJing profile is very quickly rising to meet their fame as producers. They’ve taken the top billing spot for festivals like the DJ Parade in St. Petersburg Russia—one of the biggest dance music festivals in Eastern Europe—to an arena packed with 12,000 people. Shiloh’s full length artist album “Bleed†has recently been named DJ Mag’s “Album of the Month†receiving 5/5 stars, praised as “little short of magical†and compared to dance music legends Orbital for album track “Meltâ€. The praise continues on with M8 Mag’s 8/8 and EQ Mag’s 5/5. “Bleed†is arguably one of the most anticipated album releases in recent memory. “No doubt that Shiloh with ‘Bleed’ has created an album that will earn them a place in the top of the leader board between BT, Hybrid and Way Out West. I can't parse this album enough, the quality and the pure pleasure of listening to this album will mesmerize you.†(Clubbing Magazine) Shiloh’s huge mark on the industry in such a short period time has been cut deep as underground dance music as a whole anxiously anticipates each future offering and keeps them in constant demand. Undeniably, Shiloh has become a progressive house-hold name. Formed by a merger between Oneel’s Kansai Recordings and Fitzpatrick’s Soul Foundation, BTU Recordings is proud to include some of the finest new talent available in the American Trance/Progressive/Breakbeat scenes. From Birmingham, AL to Birmingham, UK, BTU has taken the world of Trance by storm. Formed in early 2005 by Oneel, Fitzpatrick, and Lavender as a booking cooperative, BTU quickly gained momentum and recognition. Now, BTU stands as one of the freshest, most exciting Trance acts in America and one of the hottest up-and-coming acts in the world. With the launch of btulive.com and the "Guide To The Weekend" podcast on February 4, 2006, BTU has entered a new level of recognition with guest mixes from Scot Project, Kenneth Thomas, Yoji Biomehanika and many other big name DJs to come. Additions to the BTU family, Jacksin and visual artist Brooks, only add to the energy gained by the BTU family in the past year. Pushing the envelope of Trance and Progressive music, BTU forges ahead to bring real Trance to the masses. Ralph Lindstrom -=( The Harmony Network - Communication for the Party Scene )=- The legendary leader of the Birmingham DJ scene, Ralph Lindstrom has been rocking crowds all over for as long as any of us can remember. The protagonist behind Birmingham's stallwart of the electronic music scene, Harmony Productions. Our buddy Ralphie has been the proverbial glue holding us all together for quite some time. Ralph's legendary residency at the infamous "Station" has generated tales that still make the rounds of Birmingham nightlife. His performances at the Timebomb series of shows, as well as Mutha Funkin Pumpkin, Boogie Night, and many nights at Assagio just go to affirm Ralph's status as the top cat in Birmingham. By the way, this party also celebrates Ralph's birthday! Come on out and help us say Happy Birthday to one of our biggest influences. BTU wouldn't exist without Ralph, so come help us make this a special night. Jacksin Jacksin Music - Singles, Mixes, Photography, Acidic Art, & more! Birmingham Trance Underground - Free Trance Music Mp3 Download Podcast - "Guide to the Weekend" "(Insert retrospective back-story) I've been listening to electronic music since '96 & eventually started collecting vinyl. Frustrated by the linear aspect of records, I started using Windows Wav Editor to alter my tracks. Gradually moving beyond standard Windows '98 technology has led to my all time favorite application, Ableton Live. This software has fueled my dj/live pa efforts to previous levels unsought of by amateur broke musicians. Having control over what I play has made me a lot happier with music. I'm able to take any track & make it suite my needs. Everything you hear me play has been edited & re-cut to match my tastes (which is very picky). My four year stint in Virginia has been a fruitful one as I was able to play & get to know a few good people like the great East Coast promoter/dj Mooqfsh & world class local dj/producer Anthony Paul. My travels have led me to Birmingham, Alabama where I'm certain to penetrate the local populous with slamming beats & groovy grooves! Music styles range from downtempo to hard techno with focus on the progressive side of things. " Al3xB www.myspace.com/djal3x Birmingham Trance Underground - Free Trance Music Mp3 Download Podcast - "Guide to the Weekend" After attending a Liquified party in Atlanta in 2001 and getting to freestyle on the mic in front of 300 people, Alex Bedwell decided then and there that he no longer wanted to just attend parties to dance, but to play them and control the crowd. And thats just what he did. Taking influences from Djs such as Paul Van d**e, Paul Oakenfold, and Darude, Alex developed his own style of trance, dubbing it "aggressive trance", due to the fact that most progressive trance was too slow at the time, and his records were played at high speeds. It was during this time that he discovered Nuckleuz records (by accident), and his electronic musical taste was changed forever. Producers such as BK, Nick Sentience, Mark Richardson, and Andy Farley (to name a few) began filling his record box, and his sets became more and more energetic, sometimes destroying dancefloors at 155bpms. Some of these legendary sets are still talked about in Mississippi, and brought up when he goes to visit old friends. Having shared the stage with such talent as DJ Irene, Evol Intent, Nigel Richards, Tommie Sunshine, Factor E, Dead P.A., Stryfe and more, Alex proved time and time again that his skills behind the decks, and his track selections could, and would, keep the dancefloors packed and the crowds cheering rabidly for more. Its 2006, and after recently seeing DJ Drag'nfly tear the roof off, Alex's style was once again influenced, finally mutating into the dark, techy, nightmare-ish style tech-trance/hard progressive house/hard techno sets that he spins. New producers such as Sean Tyas, Sam Sharp, DJ Preach, and Ron Van Den Beuken began gracing the decks when Alex stepped behind them to work the dancefloor. You never know what you'll hear, maybe a Pink Floyd remix mixed smoothly into some Sander Van Doorn, followed by some Mark Sherry or BK. One thing is for sure though. You will move. Zions Gate www.myspace.com/zionsgate Birmingham Trance Underground - Free Trance Music Mp3 Download Podcast - "Guide to the Weekend" He has had the blessing to play alongside artists such as Shiloh, Sheltershed, The Enemy of Evol Intent as well as many others. Recently joined up with BTU (Birmingham Trance Underground), he has taken his unique style of Psy-Trance to a whole new level of intensity, reaching out to those who come to listen; to belong. 150 BPMs of high energy, driving bassline and the Psy-style's atmoshperic melodies draw party goers into an almost uncontrolable trance uniting all within earshot. Also appearing is BTU's very own master of visual presentation and mental stimulation, Brooks. Be prepared to be amazed as Brooks demonstrates his mastery of all things glowing, flashing, and burning. There's more crazy twists and turns to come with this party. We just haven't TOTALLY let the cat out of the bag yet. At BTU, we can't guarantee many thing, but we can guarantee that you'll have a good time.
