Given the label's trance roots, it's somewhat surprising to find Barry Diston makes an appearance here, although his collaboration with Rich C 'It Picks Me Up' is certainly at the harder end of the label output, clocking in at a scary 150 bpm and letting rip with bright and bold riffs together with rapid fire vocal snippets to give a euphoric old skool feel. Also on offer here is 'Liberty', a more contemporary hard trance offering with a big Euro style riff from Dave Leighs under his Aftershock guise, plus 'Move Your Body', the collaboration project from Luke Warner and Dave Mac. Addiction Resident's EP2 iDJ Magazine, Feb. 2006, p. 78 "For the second in Addiction's 'Resident' series, up steps 23 year old Luke Warner, making his production debut with a little help from much-respected producer Nick Rowland. Two cuts on offer: 'Solar Flare' is pretty much your standard uplifting hard trancer, certainly very playable but nothing to get over-excited about. Thankfully 'Blinded By The Truth' redeems matters, building nicely with driving percussion and a rolling, progressive house-style bassline before a beast of a breakdown carries us through to the main sections riff-o-rama. Quality stuff from this young producer - let's hope we hear more soon." Score: 4/5 ------------- Aftershok 'My Destination' iDJ Magazine, Feb. 2006, p. 78 "If it's the harder end of the trance spectrum you're after then you could do a lot worse than pick up this latest from Addiction Digital. The brainchild of rising star Dave Leigh aka Aftershok, 'My Destination' lulls you into a false sense of security, with the opening hard kicks breaking down into a minute or two of quite deep, almost psy-ish trance - until an absolute monster of a riff kicks in and kicks you where it hurts! Avoiding the obvious cheese cliches, this is well worth picking up." Score: 4/5 Although it doesn't say 'Blinded by the Truth' was actually engineered by Mark Beadle AKA Spherical. Well done to all involved for two cracking reviews of three great tunes.
