  1. You know your parties hot when the Mayor and his wife show up to support!!! Hahaha, good stuff Kashif.
  2. Mmmm... Hinkis Sound... That's the kind of sound that makes that bone in your throat vibrate. Very sexy. Hey, Scoobee snacks. It sooo IS the oddest place to put a DJ booth. Who would ever put a DJ booth in a place that would give a complete birds eye-view of the dance floor and the whole venue for that!!! Obviously these guys just don't know what the hell they're doing.
  3. Joe Blacks Update... The venue is scheduled to be finished tomorrow. So far as it stands, it has gone above and beyond expectations. It's an absolutely beautiful transformation from its prior bank status. Hands down, this venue can most certainly be one of the greatest locations in CT and beyond, rivaling most venues in major metros such as NYC and Boston. Its renaissance style melds well with it’s soon to be big room vibe. The venue combined with the sound, lighting and entertainment will finally put this City on the map. Friday Nov 3rd marks the beginning of a new renaissance for Hartford nightlife, and it’s obvious everyone will be curious. I guarantee you that when you step inside this venue, you will feel a warmed welcome and apart of something grand. Soon home to be for many non and local DJ's.
  4. It's funny how we can talk forever about the ceiling height of what could potentially put Hartford on the map as far as clubbin goes. For fucks sakes it's 45 FEET!!! But who cares, if you've been up on a sky lift like I have at JB's ceiling height, it wouldn't matter. You'd be like Borat on a prostitute... All over! By the way, movies coming out the same day as the Grand Opening, Friday Nov 3rd!!! Double the sexiness! hahah!
  5. Nah no bashing. We actually already took most of what you said into consideration. The first time is always tricky but we've got all of the kinks outta the way for the next. First, the event is going to be in the 3rd level Grand Ballroom which means we'll focus everything into the main room. We're having a really cool bar being imported from one of our sponsors and the sound is gonna be massive! We did have a problem with power supply for the last room, but the Grand is ready for a full blown civic center sound and lighting system! So It's gonna sound like a big room club. We didn't know the carpet was a problem, but we do have a floor to lay down so we'll will for the 6th. Not sure about the bathrooms layout, but overall everything will def be focused into the main room making the NRG much higher. Pete Tha Zouk is a big room guy, so the room and atmoshpere will be big. We are also eliminating the lines so entrance will be expiditous from E315 to the main event. Guest list, VIP, and general will be seperated too. Looking forward to this Friday and thanks everyone for coming and supporting our first Hilton Hotel Party.
  6. Well guess who's excited to get his ass up to Therapy on the 7th. ME! Great city, great DJ! Nuff said. I'm skippin NYC that day just because. Caught Danny at Mansion a few months back with my girl, we're looking forward to seeing him spin again while checking out your scene bro... Catch ya on the dance floor.
  7. Major props to those that got him back into New England!
  8. Everyone, welcome to the Mad Haters Ball!!! Listen guys, at this point we're just amusing ourselves (and outside strangers for that.) I didn't know we needed permition from everyone else to do that. And I didn't think that creating controversy on our stupid thread would Austin Leeds some of you to get edgy and start bashing eachother. Everyone here basically knows eachother. The funny thing is I have almost all of your cell numbers on my phone! And the posts I created to bash the whole thread is bashing someone I support. It's a bid hoax ,yes. Fun? yes. Controversial? I guess. Stupid? Of course! The worst part is we are all talking to eachother here when I could pick up the phone and either talk to myself(ha) or talk to you guys. But look, I support all yourhartford opinions and I, Mr NRG take full responsibility for the crap going on here. But don't worry, I assure you that any of us involved wouldn't, nor have the time or ablility to force hits on this thread. We just can't and we wouldn't for the future integrity of the rest of the CP forums. Don't worry Subc, most of the hits by now aren't even from people in our area, so we don't really mind having fun for our own amusement. I'll be honest, this really gets me through the day sometimes when I need a good laugh. And this thing has grown so much that by now, hits are just coming from Clubplaneters curious of what's the big deal. There isn't one! Just, Live Sat Sept 30th, Austin Leeds at the Hilton Hartford! Don't forget... The Grand Opening of the Mad Haters Ball Sat Nov 3rd, at Joe Blacks on Pratt! Cya there!!!
  9. I'll admit, it's to much fun!!! You got me bro. Has anybody learned by now every time you see a brand new screen name spawning, it's a joke? Come-on I know I'm gonna get heat for this but it's just too much fun! Even the ny forums haven't gotten this much action. It's hard to fight Chazzdee, especially when your fighting against yourself with split-forum personalities. HA! Wait and watch to see what my other screen names say next. To be continued... P.S. Let's try to hit the 4000 mark boys!!!
  10. Good idea considering most of the people on this forum are just DJ's and Promoters(including yourself) and more than half of the hits here are probably from alike all over the country trying to figure out why the hell there's so many hits on this forum. Let the monster grow. I don't really know anyone that isn't either a promoter or dj that actually checks this site out anyways just to find out what's going on in our lil city. Give me a break, technically no one cares, especially me cause I'm getting my laughs on about all this! P.S. still never answered my initial question about proving how to push more hits on this particular forum. Because according to you "Antione" this forum doesn't provide hit numbers on only IP addresses. Your the techy who says she knows, so prove it. Tell us the secret! Inquiring minds want to know...
  11. Do get into detail about it Antione. Please prove it cause I'm curious to see if there is a way, I've certainly clicked on this forum multiple times but it still doesn't put another number on the hitlist. To be honest(and boy does this subject keep coming up) I'm gonna agree with Kashif. Kill your 2 cents, that includes everyone... if you wanna bash Yh events or claim there's some forum trickery going on here, just keep in mind your insulting those involved and we are all trying to do something positive and those who are negative in anyway are just not welcome. Also, to give those conspirators alittle more proof, some of the mass emails that are consistently pushed out locally have a link to this forum attached to view the flyer. Keep that in mind, it's great marketing, and it obviously works. Relax Antione, it's just a fun forum and we like to keep it postivie, not P.C.(Politically Correct)
  12. scoobeedoo01Funny how these guys make fake Screen names and just visit their own post and make it viewed like 1300 times. Yea except that this forum only shows individual IP adresses. Can't refresh Jimmy...
  13. Can somebody tell me why am I getting turned on by all of this? I love watching Forum Feud. It's my favorite thing to do... Bring it on nygirl73, you dirty little skank! ; -)
  14. You got a problem with yourhartford, nrguido... uh, uh, ...I mean Brat 13? Wait, who am I... Um. Wait, I really gotta stop making screen names.
  15. Leave it up to YH to segway into an ad plug... I kinda liked the subject at hand, thanks for the commercial break though. BUT, in everyone’s defense, let me first start out by saying I'm a firm believer in backing up your hype and say it how it is. Yet I have been through the trials and tribs of trying to master the balance of hyping things to the point they're exaggerated(slightly or other) vs. hyping things up so you can break-even or pay some bills. Truthfully it's a gift that all these different events go on in our growing little Hartford. And considering certain "people" put their money on the line to try something ballsy, I will give them the benefit of the doubt for atleast trying to make a difference. Yes Sharam is only 50% Deep Dish, BUT that's a key selling point!!! This is basic marketing common sense, after all people (mind you I'm a DJ) DJ's basically play other peoples music. You shouldn't go to these events just to be star struck or say you went to see so-and-so… …as much as you should go looking for the "whole" experience. If Boramusic has to put DEEP DISH in bold letters on his flyers, then good for him, because that’s what will draw the numbers. And as from my experience in many clubs and events all over, the key factor is the “people.†Oh and liquor, haha but seriously… if YH promoted it’s “Project Aqua†as a yacht party but only had access to Lady Catherine Cruises (especially for the first trial, and by the way the boat pics were posted too) I believe that’s a smart move. Yachts can only hold so many people so profits to rental are negative to begin with, and let’s be honest people, your not just there to admire the boats crown molding. The people that came to that event made the event (they weren’t too pretentious!) www.yourhartford.com, the pics are there. Kudos to those promoters that make a difference, and I will mention as long as everyone continues to support them, we'll will only grow with them. A lot of you might not have an ultimate idea how much production/promotion/investments go into each event but understand the simple fact that “it ain’t cheap, and it certainly ain’t easy.†The above was kinda pointless considering all I did was repeat what Hartfordstar said, so sorry bro. And NYGirl73… “Your funny, I like you†(In a Will-Ferrell-shot-by-a-dart-in-the-neck-voice.) “We’ll be back.. after this commercial break…
  16. Hey DJKashif, I'm just messin wit cha man. I just registered under the name "bumblebee80" just to bust on ya and trial a new marketing technique towards build controversy for forums. Looking at the numbers, I guess it's working! Just be warned I'll probably make up a few more names in the near future so don't get your panties all up in a bunch about it! I'm just one sarcastic and pessimistic guy with a split-forum-personality. HA! Besides, I'm totally NOT looking forward to being at your party on the 30th! Cause everyone obviously knows it's gonna blow! Or will it??? Muhuhahaha... To be continued... "The Forantum"
  17. Let it be known, the Austin Leeds event will be impressive. There's alot of backing going into this event, especially on the production side... More info regarding this will be up as we close towards the 30th. This event will certainly be unique and cutting edge. Check out YourHartford.com to view the recent flash ad for more information.
  18. Hatchetfish, (interesting name by-the-way ;-)) Let me clear the air by first saying we understand the event didn't live up to it's "HYPE" from your experience. We too were dissappointed that everything didn't go as planned(although always expected), but over all (and the pictures will soon be up to display) alot of smiles and great memories were had by the majority. As you would know, trying to host a Yacht party would take alot of coordination in multiple directions. Let me be the first to say certain aspects(that you mentioned) did come up last minute that disrupted what was expected and advertised. Though considering this was a unique event, we learned from it, but can't wait to do it again and make it better; Because over-all it was a success in our book. Also, know that your comments will be taken into consideration for planning the next Yacht Party, and we do appreciate you and your party attending the last. All in all, the next event to be hosted by YourHartford.com will certainly live up to it's "HYPE" and go above and beyond everyones expectations. Consider that my personal guarantee. P.S. Boys and girls... Try to keep names and personals outta the streets. As much as I like seeing everyone duking it out middle-school-style, it would also be nice if we can all make good points in a neutral and/or somewhat positive direction. Sorry for being such a daddy, but for God's sake this is Clubplanet.com, not Iraq. Love, Dad
  19. Yea Jimmy, There will be pics up on YourHartford.com soon and as we filter through the videography we'll try to put that up along with a live mix off the CT river from the DJ's. Great job Kashif, from Matt, Si-Dog, J. Michaels the other DJ's and myself, we all really impressed with the event! Thanks for including us on it.
  20. Good catch nyis4meatheads. you must be in the Editing business. Mistakes like that always slips through the cracks, and it's always good to have an extra pair of eyes to mention them. Rest assure the party will be eventful (grammatical errors and all). Knowing Your Hartford, they'll certainly put together a memorable event. So expect to get your money's worth.
  21. To clarify a few things. The sound system is permanant, and the owner has been working hard to make major additions almost every week to 960 including, decor, furniture, accent LED lighting, club lighting, and most importantly, extra sound reinforcement. I would know since I slave myself personally every week to make sure the sound and lighting is up to par for the major artists that are brought through those doors. Of all the clubs in CT, as it stands, 960 sticks out the one of the more prestigious locations... For those concerned with the crowd following, the bottom right picture is a familar scene taken from one the many www.Boramusic.com events. Pictures speak louder than words. Room 960 is a staple in the clubbing community. And recently Boramusic has used the assistance of correlation production www.corrpros.com for video and occasionally, extra sound reinforcement. As soon as the budgets settle, I'm sure Room 960 will do nothing to continue bringing more quality artists and quality sound and lighting to support those artists. And just to be technical, recently the club has purchased 2 more dual 18 subs and as soon as the system is properly hooked up to it's full potential, I'm certain a room it's size will be able to rival some of the best systems around. Also 960 incorporated Color Kenetics LED lighting to accent the lower VIP area and brand new drapery. Also a brand new Martin scx600 intelligent lighting setup was installed. These are the facts, and if anybody knows me, I just say it how it is. No B.S. Enjoy... NRG
