  1. Join Global Frequencies, Holosound, Lance Jordan, Jeff Megraw and Derek Godwin in ringing in the the holodays Friday, December 12th. Holosound has called Vault it's home away from home for over 2 years now and is finally saying goodbye to it's regular appearances there with this official sayonara. Lance Jordan comes to us hot on the heels of his Dusk parties at Cielo this fall, additionally Lance has played in virtually every high end dance venues in the city. His work with his label, Dusk Recordings, has seen exciting releases from such artists as Creamer & K and Astro & Glyde. Joining us for a special holiday set is television's Jeff Megraw. Jeff's deep techno and tech-house has been gaining momentum and fans around the city this year and we're happy to have him aboard. Rounding out the evening is Derek Godwin, a man of all trades who makes his living DJing almost every night of the week within the city, Derek has been a great friend to this family and one we won't be saying goodbye to for a very long time! RSVP for reduced $5 admission before 12 and $10 entry afterwards. Drink Specials from 10-12

  3. Join us as we take this opportunity to celebrate one of the last two parties before we start CITRIC off in 09 in some new locales. It's been great to enjoy the intimate setting and phenomenally tuned dancefloor but we believe it's time to change things up a bit. For this very special, penultimate CITRIC@Vault we welcome an old friend, Andy Newland in from the UK, fresh from playing with his "Twisted Audio" crew where they've recently run the second room at the last three Bedrock events. Andy has recently played alongside Sasha at Renaissance at Ministry of Sound and is hosting Nick Warren and Jim Rivers this holiday season. A man who's equally comfortable playing progressive house, tech house and techno, his experience within the London underground is unmatched and we're thrilled to host him for his fourth apearance at CITRIC in as many years. Along with an established friend of the CITRIC family, we're also welcoming a new friend, Propaganda NYC's head honcho, Alex Karalanian for a cameo closing appearance and hopefully a sign of things to come in '09. Although Alex has been building his name and brand for a few years, he's really begun to pick up steam in '08. His dirty take on pumping tech house will demonstrate why we couldn't think of a more appropriate lad to hammer us through completion of our second to last night at Vault. As is customary, the venerable Derek Godwin will be opening the night up from 10-11:30 and Holosound will be cranking their Illectro sound from 1-3. As usual we'll have drink specials and a cornucopia of poor decision making ;-)

  5. So as much as we like to bemoan the fact that time is flying and it's hard to believe we've hit a particular season after the last one flew by, October's arrival actually feels expected and welcome. It's most likely the combination of the slightly cooler weather and the fact that we can't avoid getting caught up in this election as we look to choose a leader who'll help get our country back on track. VOTE PEOPLE! But this isn't just any old CITRIC we have on our horizons, it's our Fourth Anniversary!!! To commemorate it we're welcoming back inaugural CITRIC guest, the man who launched our first party back in Oct '04 and has been back every year since, Kris B. For anyone who's been paying attention to the scene over the last couple years, Kris B has had tracks featured on Nick Warren's GU compilations, Sasha's Essential Mix turned in countless amazing remixes for labels such as Baroque, System Recordings and his own NightShade Music label. Consistently receiving support from such names as Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Sasha etc etc Kris has also had the opportunity to tour Brazil and Costa Rica recently and has now joined forces with former GrayArea bandmate, Nosmo. Together they're a remix/production powerhouse that churns out new music on an intimidatingly prolific scale. If you've made it to any of our last October CITRIC's you'll know exactly what to expect-and if you haven't seen Kris live then there's no time like the present! Also stoking the flames of nonsense on this gala event will be CT's Mike Kiraly. Mike has been holding it down up in Hartford as a resident at Room 960 and together with fellow resident Kered, has seen international acclaim from such indusrty stalwarts as Pete Tong with their treatment of Lazar's "Heat of the Moment" which was an absolute smash hit. Mike has done some great remixes, both released and forthcoming, for CITRIC Recordings and since he was already going to be in town to celebrate our 4th anniversary with us, we figured why not give people a taste of his DJ sound with a special warm up set. As we all know by now, CITRIC wouldn't be where it is today without Derek Godwin who has also been with us since day one. He brings disarming british charm that we're sick of hearing the ladies ask about and is genuinely one of the nicest guys around in the scene today. Derek will be kicking things off proper for us at 10pm at the height of our 4th Anniversary Drink specials which will be running until midnight. Last but not least, CITRIC Recordings label heads and DJs extraodinaire, Holosound will also be on the bill. Following the success of our last September party Holosound will be playing from 2-4. Be sure to RSVP to rsvp[AT]citricrecordings.com for $5 reduced admission as we're really going to have to stick to $10 for all those who don't-it's not easy getting people in from Chicago and Connecticut! :-P CITRIC@Vault Friday October 10th Holosound, Derek Godwin Special Guests: Kris B, Mike Kiraly Doors 10pm Drink Specials 10pm-12am
  6. In addition to bringing cooler times and lower electric bills, September is the time when we at CITRIC formally usher in a new format for the fall which will allow us to share even more cutting edge tech house with the people of New York. Each month, in addition to featuring our usual caliber of special guests, we'll have a special warm up or closing set from some of our favorite locals in the scene. Some of these artists have played a CITRIC before or have recently caught our ears in their recent exploits about town. This time we welcome our friend Naveen G for a special 11-12 set. Fresh from a gig at Vinyl in Denver, Naveen's work with Yoshitoshi Records and recently with Listed Productions company out of San Francisco have helped to continually breath fresh air into the domestic dance community. Expect an aural treat from this gentelman who manages to straddle tech house and progressive with ease. The main event for this evening welcomes Core NYC's own Zach and Keryn to the turntables. Keryn wowed many of us with her 11-12 set at our last CITRIC and we're properly excited to see what she and her partner, Zach, bring to the table. Known for their raucous CORE events at Love, these two definitely are well versed in bringing the party and we expect no less from them as we also celebrate Keryn's birthday As usual Derek Godwin will kick things off and, in another twist, Holosound will drill it from 2-close. $4 Red Stripes $5 Ketel Cocktails 10-12
  7. August may be the last month in the summer but for us here at CITRIC it's the beginning of something new, 4DJs to light up the decks and keep things poppin' all night long. This time, we welcome our first female to the decks at Vault as well as feature our first international guest of the summer. It's all been working up to the arrival of Chris Salt and in order to ensure our party is 100% full blast the whole time we've brought in a little help from Core events' very own Keryn. Her special set this month is just a taste of what she and her partner Zach Roth will be bringing to CITRIC as the main event in September. With $4 Red Stripes and $5 Ketel Citron cocktails from 10-12 pm, residents Holosound & Derek Godwin bringing their usual assortment of heaters, and $5 admission with rsvp, there's simply no reason not to get a piece of the action with all hands on deck and the city's best tuned intimate sound systems to back it all up. Read below for a little more on Chris Salt.... Just a month after signing a two album recording contract with Silver Planet in 2003, Chris kicked off an international DJ career with a high profile set, playing the first Saturday night at a prestigious new club in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo. The night before, Chris had handed a white-label promo of 'Dub Sonar' to none other than renowned house DJ Satoshi Tomiie. Taking place on Chris' 23rd birthday, his set was so well received that the promoters rebooked him two months later. Back home, the hype surrounding Chris' productions and projects continued to grow. 'Dub Sonar' had received heavy DJ support from Sasha, Nick Warren, Sander Kleinenberg, Slacker and Jonathan Lisle, and the dance press sat up and took notice. The first single received great reviews in DJ mag, IDJ, DMC Update and M8 magazine, and a full page feature in M8 magazine followed soon after. Chris' growing reputation as a prominent producer was solidified further with his remix of Flash Brothers' 'Ways', which again received DJ support from Sasha and further good press in DJ mag and M8 magazine, and the remix even topped the influential Hooj.com weekly chart. By this stage Silver Planet had asked Chris to compile and mix their third instalment of the Fear series, following in the footsteps of James Holden and the Flash Brothers. The Fear 3 mix compilation was released on the anniversary of his first gig in Tokyo, achieving critical acclaim with the dance press declaring it an outstanding achievement and the best in the series. The release was promoted with a DJ tour spanning several UK dates (Twisted Melon, Empathy and Audio Deluxe) and international bookings in Poland and Turkey. This also coincided with Silver Planet's 50th release, which featured the Luke Chable remix of 'Dub Sonar' and Chris' remix of Main Element's 'Delta Of Venus'. DJ support came from John Digweed and Steve Smart on Kiss FM, and from Nick Warren who charted it at number two. Chris' second single, 'Atmospheric Graffiti' (debuted at his first gig in Tokyo), was picked up by Anthony Pappa for his Balance 006 compilation, and Nick Warren declared it his tune of 2004. Chris' second mix compilation, Future House on Kickin Music, received further good press and distribution deals from major players Universal and JVC. An international DJ tour to promote the release included dates at The Bomb in Nottingham, Turnmills in London, London Calling @ Earl's Court, L'Enfer Rouge in Prague, Park 97 in Shanghai, Studio 80 in Amsterdam, Secret in Istanbul and Faces in Ankara. Having played alongside Hybrid, Phil K, Futureshock, Phil Kieran, Slacker, Andy Moor, Ashley Casselle, Jody Wisternoff and Lexicon Avenue, with headline DJ sets in nine different countries and an on-going DJ residency at London's renowned Electronic Sessions, Chris is now putting the final touches on his first full-length album "Full Surrender" which is due out in early 2009 on Silver Planet and is sure to put Chris amongst the top ranks of currently active DJ/Producers in the game. http://www.holosoundnyc.com http://www.myspace.com/holosound http://www.myspace.com/derek_godwin http://www.chrissalt.com/ http://electronicsessions.co.uk/news.htm http://silverplanetrecordings.com/ http://www.myspace.com/djkeryn
  8. Join us as we welcome Rami Deejay to the CiTRiC Recordings family. Rami's been a great friend and supporter for a while now but little did we know he was making BOMBS in his studio in Jersey. With a name like Rami and hotness like he's been dropping, we're surprised he's still allowed to travel internationally! Come on out and see what we're talking about ;-) We'll have $4 beers until Midnight with $5 Ketel Cocktails. http://www.holosoundnyc.com http://www.myspace.com/holosound http://www.myspace.com/rami
  9. It's hard to deny that spring is taking hold here in NYC and with us all still in withdrawal from Miami, it's really the least this cruel world can do to keep us all from losing our minds. Add to that a stellar CITRIC and you've got a perfect recipe for beat-based recovery.... Join us Friday, April 11th, as we welcome Mike DiRocco of Core Events NYC. A fellow NYC co-conspirator, Mike plays some of the bounciest, grooviest tech house around and we are excited to hear what he has to offer on Friday. He meshes perfectly with CiTRiC sound and vibe-be sure to take advantage of special drink specials during the first hour of his 11-1 set . Holosound is back from Conference with more goodies than we'll have time for from 1-3, and fellow as per usual Derek Godwin opens and closes the evening from 10-11 and 3-???. www.holosoundnyc.com www.myspace.com/holosound aim: "daf1200", "holosound" msn: alexfish333@hotmail.com
  10. Glad to see you could make it back to new york after your last months spinning around the globe! Can't wait to hear the tunes that you picked up on your travels!
  11. Friday, March 14th CITRIC is back for a proper WMC warmup, join Holosound, Derek Godwin and special guest Rick Laplante as we brush our shoulders off a bit from the far east. Fresh off of playing ILLectro in Tokyo and Thailand, Holosound has brought down a veteran of the Ottawa, CA nightlife in Rick Laplante. Rick's weekly "Sunrise Afterhours" has seen more than it's fair share of talent with Deadmau5 being a recent guest as well as Eli Wilkie from Boston and many more. He's here from 11-1 to show you what's real these days in the world of Canadian Tech house. Holosound will follow with a little showcase of what we've got up our sleeves for WMC. Throw in Derek Godwin on either side of the evening and you've got a recipe for poor decisions fueled by one of the tightest small sound-systems in NYC! Make sure to stay late to see what kind of digital mojo has been brewing between Holosound and Derek as things are bound to get durrrty ;-) CITRIC@Vault 225 East Houston St. at Essex Entrance on Essex Doors: 10pm, 21+ $10, $5 with RSVP to rsvp@citricrecordings.com www.holosoundnyc.com www.myspace.com/holosound www.myspace.com/sunriseafterhours www.elementny.com
