  1. You rep KC Well. You are 100% correct . And Sadly he did recently pass away. Another legend who lives in New Orleans was thought to be dead by some because of his absence during Katrina has emerged alive and well. If You guessed Fats Domino You May have a sweet tooth for The City That Put Party Life On The Map Or Maybe You.......Well I think we all Have high hopes for The City that Sparkles.
  2. A Good steak, big salad and super coffee. Oh Yeah. My trip to vegas recently harrah's buffet put the prime rib on the front burner and the crab legs took back seat. Then headed over to NY NY For Nine fine irishmen and jammed it up to alana , a girl who can put charlie daniels to shame on violin. best irish band and coldest beer as well. By the way I met wilbur harrison once. If you know what he's famous for You are true KC
  3. Cool. Yeah man. Oh Yeah. That's cool. Oh by the way, that's cool too. No info on bbq ? I understand. I watched 18 hrs on KC BBQ On the travel channel and you would think that's all people do and talk about. I guess not. Obviously there are cooler things than bbq in KC.
  4. If it ain't pro sound I ain't going. These guys keep me afloat so i can pay bills. Hell i might even go digital by 2008. I play cds and i admitt it. I also let girls go through em and pick out what they like. Is that your elbow in my side. oh oh ok. whatever you want to hear. by the way you have soft elbows. just as a tip go by margarittaville and tell them how much you would gladly like to pay $40 for two burgers and two alcohol absent margarittas but you ain't that wasted away! Have a great trip and bring back a souvenir so you can say hey I spent $800 and have something to show for it.
  5. I bet they do. Probably called bubbas all you can eat bar b q buffet, roller rink and disco. Phocas, stay away from the black lights when you're clubbing, the radiation will give you a permanent glow even during the daytime. I knew an Xray tech that zapped himself so many times he looks like a crustacean that couldn't tan kinda like my uncle loui who when standing by the refrigerator lite looking for cheeze whiz is invisible. It could happen!
  6. Yeah welcome and let it out. I know I feel better. People actually read these things. It beats talking to the walls. Actually I have thin walls so I know my neighbor Larry hears occassionally. Hey Larry , Get a life.
  7. ditto! Mr peas I'm going to be in vegas 9/2-9/7 I'm doing an interview with some of the grand am drivers for their end of season banquet. If you want to check it out let me know. One of the drivers Memo #19 is sponosred by Playboy. I'm hoping to get a few shots of the playmates or shots with the playmates. oh yeah i can see them now . Hey see that guy wearing the Kmart shirt with the clip on tie, let's hang with him. Anyway some of the hot names in racing like Scott pruitt, fitipaldi, chip ganassi will probably all be there.
  8. Hey you two need to get a room or i understand they rent shower stalls at truck stops now! Have a great day!
  9. I've actually seen a Mcd Commercial where the guy is leaning against the car puttin down 99 cent menu items while the girl he's with is doing the same. I guess they took out the back seat action part and the part where he drives off leaving the girl hitching for a ride. How about this. Is it impolite to ask a girl to pitch in gas money on a date that may involve driving 20 miles or more.
  10. That is a hard act to follow! This has been a very unique thread. I guess the whole idea is to perhaps get to know something about somebody. For instance Pool halls and classic rock seem to fit. I wonder if that would be considered a cheap date to take a girl to shoot pool. I think I've done it twice with girls who both held their own on the table. The thing about pool halls is you know every guy in the place is watching what you're watchin- The Corner Pockets!
  11. When I dj a party I'll usually play one ac/dc song (shook me all night long) To get the guys to dance. If that doesn't work i can rely on sweet home alabama to get all the guys to stare at each other with that hell yeah i can still produce tostesterone look then two songs later I'll play mickey by toni basil just to prove hey it doesn't matter who you are we all love to dance. Some of us just need a little push. By the way you can hear the best of ladies of the eighties on..............one thing i can't figure is Katrina and the waves, walking on sunshine. Man this group should've been up there with blondie. I would like to hear their story someday.
  12. Lauderdale still has to be considered one of the great beaches in the world. So what about the nightlife in south florida. What do you think would be the best bet for NYE
  13. We actually just linked up with pr.fm for huge party radio streams. In fact PartyRadioNetwork.com Is adding a Party DJ Radio Station that rivals a garbage can cookout of party music. It hits the cyberwaves about the same time Club Planet shines its fresh look. 105.9 what do they play. Lauderdale, wow what a wonderland that was. I did afternoons on K102(jefferson Stone) and how i never got a dui from going from the candy store to cholestoral heaven (eggs something) I have no idea. Is Los Olas Still the artsy cool strip for people who want to look cool?
  14. Hi Lolahotass! I think it has more to do with the memories there than the actual place. I was very very very young when i lived there. So that makes me thirtynine something. I'm going through my second adolescence and occassionally i like to reflect on s. florida. I worked for Cox broadcasting on 79th st causeway. (among others) How about you. You're there now. Are you an ageless princess of the night surrounded by lots of men you call friends. (line ripped from song Hotel California). Or are you a seabird that faces the sun soaking up the nector of Florida's natural fruits? ( original thought)
  15. VIP Host is a good idea. That may be a little high end for the means. believe it or not stripper service is everywhere. Valets, taxi drivers, hey they even hand out flyers on the street for service. I'm surprised pizza places aren't doing it. hey get two large supremes and our special driver diva diana will be banging on your door in less than 30 minutes.
  16. There are many options of course. That is what makes it confusing. Ask yourself if you want be in the beach area, on a party cruise in the bay, hotel party, or club party? Most hotels have DJs and offer packages so you can enjoy beverages and go straight to the room. The clubs sometimes you have to work at getting a taxi, unless of course if you have a designated driver no worries there mate. To get a list of the type of entetainment go to the miami herald on the internet and scan the entertainment listings. If you go to south beach go early in the day and reserve a room now.The hotels on the bay like the Hyatt, etc may surprise you with some competitive packages. Good Day!
  17. I have worked at many clubs and one thing that i have found that most have in common is that the entertainment they sell is the people who come to the clubs. It's the people who make or break a club. Once the word starts to get around that things aren't as entertaining then things change. Fortunately, a call to a manager relaying an unappreciated attitude may help. The bottom line though is bouncers are bouncers and fortunately they work in clubs and not in airports handling luggage. Most aren't paid to communicate so any effort in this direction is usually a waste of time. Next time you're in a club and the bouncer starts looking your way silently and simply get out of his. After all , you would do the same in traffic if a bulldozer approached. Have your own good time!
  18. Oye! Philippio! So you too know the ways of that land which bears many oranges. I loved miami lakes.. kendall, (dalt's) and the grove. Juice bars and girls on roller skates! Caliente!
  19. We decided believe it or not to spend some moolah lola on advertising. Sorry for the cheap shots! Thanks for the pass hot.... Hey by the way I used to work in radio in S Florida. Love 94, 96x, Zeta 4, etc. Just a few stations in my wkrp type of life. I miss the lifestyle but not the traffic? How is 826 these days. I'm not even going to ask about 95.
  20. Hi Girls! Most hotels have a party lounge. some of which are great. New York New York Has a great band playing in there's sunday night and they kick it up. I like Harrah's Outdoor party and they have an indoor party lounge too. And It's FREE! Right outside The Ventian there's a high energy dance club( cover). Check The Vegas Advisor for more info. Don't forget your ipod. Speaking of Digital Music Try PartyMusicRadio.com for a quick fix of dance music
  21. If you're into people vegas is it. Don't ignore them. Try to get to know them. Hey where you folks from? Stuff like that. You never know. Clubs are cool. Use the clubs to work out those built up frustrations while waiting in line. Dance the trance. Then plan your next move. According to Jeff Wilkerson of Pubclub.com places like Margarittaville take on a more intimate party setting. While sipping the THE PERFECT MARGARITA soak up the atmoshere and ckeck out whoever is checking you out. DO NOT BE SHY. Nobody comes to Vegas to be shy. My cousin let herself get picked up at harrah's buffet. It happens. I'm not saying be completely promiscuous. Calculate the situation wisely to your best interest. By the way speaking of Vegas Dirty Vegas Is on the CPR Mix this week On ClubPartyRadio.com
  22. If you are going to buy somebody a drink i have found out always buy a double, that way if it's too strong for them, if they are a true friend they will offer to share. Kinda like if i open a car door for a girl and come around to get in and my side is still locked while she flips the vanity mirror down to do make up then there is something wrong with that picture. agree or disagree. By the way glamorous life is moving up the charts on Clubpartyradio.com
  23. Thanks for the reply. I'm just now getting back into the club thing. I love it. It seems the later you go the friendlier folks are. is that the alcohol you think or maybe the atmosphere has had time to establish.
  24. myrtle beach sc really steps it up on nye. You can actually rent a nice villa at apache campground cheap. it's on the ocean and Apache has the longest pier on the east coast. here comes the best part. On NYE They have a giant bonfire on the beach with Party Dance Music With Drinks noise makers, hats, etc. Everybody dances in the sand around the fire then at midnight fireworks light up the sky. It's like rio only you don't need a passport. I partied til daylight
