  7. Taken from another forum:

    Hey guys!

    Hope all is well.

I have just uploaded the first 4 hours of my Dj Set taken from my September 15th, 2007 event at Dance Club Mania.

Located in the center of Sunny Beach (Bulgaria), Dance Club Mania is one of my favorite venues to play. The location, the amazing sound system, the lighting system, and of course the people truly make Dance Club Mania a very special place.

The links for my live mix have been broken into 3 parts under 79 minutes each so that they can easily be burned onto cd.

Feel free to visit the listening booth located at http://www.JasonJollins.com or simply download the sets using the links below.

Thanks so much for the continued interest and support and I hope you enjoy the new mix!

  8. Jason Jollins is very very very good but the musical knowledge on this board is lacking ..........

Most under-rated dj in NYC = Jason Jollins

Everytime I have seen him play in NYC (Centro Fly, Avalon, Love, Spirit, Crobar, Pacha, Etc...) he has blown me away.

I was just listening to his Live from Argentina set on his website and it's killer!

But I wouldn't say Jason Jollins is going to be the next Boris or JP.

Boris and JP are very good at what they do, but they are geared towards the Bridge & Tunnel commercial crowd and they play commercial sounds.

Jason Jollins is underground and his following comes from the music driven crowd.

His international touring schedule prevents him from playing often in NYC and you won't find him dj'ing a Pajama Party.

With that said, I caught Boris recently and he is a very talented dj as well and mixes it up well.

    :)

  9. DEFINITELY A PATHETIC THREAD..

i ONLY AM BASHING the leader of THIS CREW FOR THE FACT THAT THEY TRIED TO F*CK UP THE SCENE.. I work with the promoters who work with improving the scene. The rest of this crew seems pretty chill.

They are not in direct competition with anything that we do at our venue and they are definitely not in competition with us now LOL

    it is what it is

    You kidding me? lol

You are a promoter, posting in another promoters thread, bashing them, bashing there event, bashing the venue they work at.

In your eyes this promoter is trying to fuck up the scene because you feel he is competition to you.

Afterall, he booked one of your favorite dj's (Boris) and has brought in some great talent since the beginning. He built a whole new venue for Hartford and packed this venue on several occasions. How is this hurting the scene?

You are consistantly booking dj's that play only in the tri-state area, the promoter that you claim is ruining the scene books the same dj's and also books dj's like Jason Jollins who play all over the world.

Everyone reading this thread (shy of maybe your mom and your best friend) can see how pathetic you are, and how bad you are representing the venue that you work for.

When Pacha opened in NYC, the whole staff of Crobar went to the grand opening (management, owners, etc...) to support it. You would be hard pressed to find promoters in NYC bashing each other on message boards.

If I was the owner / management of Alchemy, you would be fired in a second.

All that you are doing in this thread is embarrasing yourself and bringing down Alchemy with you.

  10. This thread is pathetic.

scoobeedoo01, Jimmy, or whoever you are... Let the drama and the bashing that you are receiving in this thread be a lesson to you.

You claim that you know so much about the scene yet you don't know about simple things like promoter etiquette.

This all started because you posted in another promoters thread, bashed them and bashed the venue that they work for because you feel that they are in direct competition with the venue that you work for.

All that you are doing is making yourself and the venue that you work for look rude, unprofessional and amature.

You should be working with the promoters located in other cities (flight shares, joint promotions, etc...) to help build the scene throughout Connecticut.

Instead, you are fighting with other promoters and bringing down the scene with it.

  11. From what I heard this event didnt go too well. I guess joe blacks has new promoters on fridays now from what I hear.

any club can book any dj any night of the week some things just don't work in CT.

We have had alot of DJ's at Alchemy besides JP and Boris I guess you havent been paying as much attention as you thought..

Its very hard filling a big room and big club with certain DJ's..

    big things coming in 07...

Last time Jollins played Room 960 the venue was filled to capacity by 11:30pm, the doors had to be closed.

Comparing JP and Borris to Jason Jollins is like comparing Louie Devito to Sasha. lol

Borris and JP are good at what they do, but they are a completely different sound to that of Jason Jollins, commercial sounds vs. music driven sounds.

  12. when is he around going to be in the area

Ok I just talked to Jason :)

The track that you like in Video 1 is "Sultan / Jiva - Connected".

Last weekend Jason played at Pacha so I don't know when he will be playing in NYC again. He only plays NYC about once a month or once every other month at Crobar or Pacha for Made Event, aside from that he is usually touring overseas.

    .......

  13. amazing night! made event does it again.

gabriel & dresden played a lot of different styles (tech house, house, progressive house, trance, electro, minimal) very diverse and i really enjoyed it.

ive been a big fan of jason jollins for years and while he is well respected and has his following, i think he is possibly the most underrated nyc dj on the club planet board. this guy kills it everytime!

all in all a very fun night :)
