I started in the NY club scene back in 1992 @ Limelight & Palladium. Moved to Florida in 1996 and threw parties down their from 1997 thru 2001. The highlight was booking Frankie Bones vs Adam X on 6 turntables at Batle of The beats 2 in Miami back 1n October 1998. I once in a while think about those old days. What really stands out is 1992 thru 1995 the mega clubs were so much fun (Club USA, Limelight, Palladium, Webster Hall). The scene was so amazing back then. Nothing will ever compare........

DJ Charlie Casanova had a residency at the Palladium from 1992 thru late 1995 before JR took over and they named it Arena. Casanova also did a Friday night late show on HOT 97 before it became Hip Hop. He was always my favorite DJ. After his Palladium Gig he faded away. Never saw or heard anything from him again. Nothing on the internet no way to buy an old mix CD. Does anyone know where we can find any of his old school mixes online?

It's great to look back at how amazing the scene was in the early and mid 90's. When you actually had to get picked to get into Limelight, Palladium, Club USA and others. There was no way to buy some bottles to get past the velvet ropes. The Palladium from 1992 thru 1995 with Hex Hector and Charlie Casanova was the best club NYC has ever seen. Some of you maybe to young to know about it. It later on became Arena.

Iuse to go to Lord Micheals Future Shock to hear dj Repete on friday. Then Saturday the Paladium for MR Cassonova . What a weekend Limelight and Palladium the best one two punch friday and saturday nights the club world has ever seen...... Those were the best weekends ever

I lived for the Palladium from 1992 to 1995. I would kill for a old school Dj Charlie Casanova mix tape. I loved everything he played there and miss that place. I have since moved to Florida and with all the clubs in south beach and downtown Miami nothing compares to what the Palladium was. I have been chasing that vibe and I know now I will never find it again.
