  1. I am sorry I thought you asked if congress could stop the war and to my knowledge the only way they can do it is to cut off funding. I am sure the reason they have not has a lot to do with what you said, plus Bush's veto pen. I am not for abandoning the troops, but how many more years should they have to stay, if they started pulling out right now it would take 18-24 months to get out alltogether, according to the pentagon. WW2 didnt take this long.

  2. I dont think we bring them all home, i think we have to keep some in Iraq some in Kuwait as well as Afghanistan, but 90% of the forces in Iraq should be pulled and sent elsewhere. As far as risk level we have been at a yellow alert since 9/11 we are always going to be at risk as far as terrorism. I wish we had spent more time and money on homeland security in the first place, it wasnt Saddam that attacked us. The whole thing was a lie from the begininng.

  3. I must say I am kind of amazed at how many views this is still getting. Anyway I too hope she does something positive for those less fortunate than herself, some sorta Paris Hilton house or whatever it is she comes up.

  4. I too agree that celebs get away with way too much... recent examples that we have range from sports figures to drunk movie makers/ film stars. I also am in a profession that has a high degree of standards. Do people fall off the standards wagon in all professions? Oh hell yea! I have known quite a few just in mine alone. Does that excuse them, no, it doesn't. However, now the bar has been set! Let's see what happens when the next celeb/ sports figure or anyone else in the lime light breaks the law. I'd be interested to see how it is handled.

    You do always seem thoughtful

  5. Its neat to have some real thought interjected in to this conversation. And i also agree poccnr makes some valid points, the real issue here is what you said about making an example of someone and how truely unfair that is. Bottom line she'll be out Monday and this will be over. Free Paris Hilton!!!

  6. First, I dont know any Dante or what that means. As far as Paris compared to other wealthy people, she clearly doesnt hold herself to a higher standard and no law can make her, until this judge came along she was doing just fine being herself as I described. The only point i'm making is the penalty she got is excessive compared to others faced with the same charges, i believe this judge is trying to make a name for himself. Furthermore, it is clear that the sherriff didnt think it was good for her not to be eating or sleeping at all while in confinement, there were many other options this judge could have chosen, but he didnt he chose to be as harsh as possible.

  7. While I realize few people have any sympathy for this girl, it seems odd to me so many lawyers would come on tv and state that they have never seen a punishment so harsh for the offense that she was charged with. I am of the belief that there is wide-spread jealousy working against Ms Hilton including this judge. If everyperson in this country was honest withthemselves they would admit they to would like to be rich, beautiful and have no responsibilities. As far as being good for her, i suppose only time will tell.

  8. Whether it be 45 days or 23 days, it overkill by the judge, the avg. person only serves 2 or 3 days for same offense. shes being punished harder for her status and this judge trying to make name for himself.
