roha3000
Found it on Acetate yesterday. I am in fucking heaven. I need to make a new demo just so this fucking track can be on it. I heard Deep Dish drop this last week at Shelter. I was like . Totally didn't realize where I knew it from until someone told me it is on Deep Dish's Global Underground CD2. Now who wants to let me spin somewhere so I can drop this monster?

I'm not even sure it was released on anything but acetate. I am damn happy to have found it at all.

bsb2002
wow, considering how big that track was, I'd think it would be easier to find. Especially with that Sander mix.
roha3000
Thats the way these people are. DJs hord these incredible tracks that are never released to the masses. It definitely adds to the clubbing experience hearing incredible tracks that very few people have.
brickhouse
It probably is a vinyl copy. The name of the record label PMT is on is Acetate. It's a breaks label, so if it says acetate on it, that's probably why.

bsb2002
well that makes more sense. Acetates are metal and only last a few spins, plus they are expensive as hell. thats why i wondered.

Gonna master the whole thing on Monday when a friend gives me SoundForge. My demo will be ready that night. I am so fucking psyched.

They're pressed with metal (hence Metalheadz), but acetates are easier top make one copy of than vinyl (and higher quality than vinyl) which is why you used to see a lot of test presses as acetates. Don't see it as much anymore due to the longevity issue, but they really don't cost much more than a piece of vinyl if you see a random acetate out there. bsb2002
actually, they are aluminum plates covered in acetone-hence acetates. and they aren't pressed, they are etched
kandyraver
old ass track was hot when it was on howells NF3 cd I believe, btw troy is around if you look for it you are prolly looking for creamer and k when you should be looking for the push remix since thats the a-side on the record
