deejay-rc
Has anyone used or is using the new program that allows you use your existing turntable to spin mp3 or any other sound format using a program call final scrach vai your comp.?
drewbongiorno
It works wonderfully as long as you’re only going to mix music together, not scratch, or do turntable effects. On the other hand if you want to free your djing talents up for more important things like incorporating live musical performances? I recommend ableton live or hummingbird.Good Luck,Drew
pod
Is there a latency problem with Final Scratch? i.e. I do a backspin, and it takes a few ms to kick in?
drewbongiorno
I didn't have any complaints when I was reviewing it, but as with any software it's hardware dependent. Stanton recommends a PIII 700 or better on a dual boot system (Windows and BeOS). I recommend 256mg of memory and a hard drive that spins at least 7200rpm.AM DJ offers a similar product that allows you to use a cd player with a vinyl interface. I've fooled with it a bit but can't give a true review just yet. A friend of mine Dustin (DJ CK) is the AM DJ rep down here and he swears by it. .....and YES! I do trust him. He has never steered me wrong, but go see it for yourself. I'm sure you'll be impressed.Drew
