brickhouse
OK....dumbish question coming up here, but I just want to see what other people's experiences have been...I'm looking into upgrading to a 3 channel mixer and getting a CDJ. If price and space weren't issues, I know what I'd get, but unfortunately they are so my constraints are that together they'll run in the $600-800 range and that they'd both fit into a turntable slot in a coffin (i.e. 14x18). I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer CDJ-100 and a Vestax 175. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for anything better or cheaper, or if there are any major problems with either of those units. I already know to pretty much avoid anything by Gemini or AmDJ, but I'm kinda wondering about the CD units. I use a Stanton dual CD mixer (550) at work and haven't had any problems with it, but I'm wondering if their single CD unit is comparable, especially since it runs cheaper than the Pioneer. Thanks for any help. djmtec
I know it is a four channel mixer. Brand new it is like a grand. Although for 600 to 800 you might be able to find it on Ebay. I got a crap 3 channel at home, but I use the Pioneer 600 at the studio, where I can record my mixes. I want it so bad, if you buy it you'll love it. They have a 500 too, but the 600 has a few more options, and also some basic onboard effects which were very well. Try one out, its da bomb.
