hoke Posted July 7 Report Share Posted July 7 Okay, I know the eighties threads have been done to death... but Cintron and I were having a conversation about this as we walked past Culture Club last night, and I came to the following conclusion:The 80's never happened.- I never said "rad" or "tubular."- I never spiked my hair with a rat-tail in the back.- I never wore pants that looked like very colorful pajamas.- I never wore neon ANYTHING.- I was never obsessed with BMX bikes and skateboards.- I never owned a slap bracelet or silly string.- I have never seen a Jean Claude Van Damme movie.The 80's never happened. Ever.-I never owned 2 skateboards, a Redline something-thousand series BMX bike with the plastic mag wheels, a really cool scooter where you could actually turn the handlebars around all the way and not tangle the brake lines.-I never played imaginary role playing games involving monsters, pits of lava or magic.-I did not build a fortress in my room entirely out of legos.-I didn't ever wear or even think of wearing HyperTechnicolor clothing that you could breathe on and it would change colors.-I did not recite the lyrics to every Eazy-E song ever made, daily at lunchtime.-I did not overuse hairgel at school dances to the point of obtaining electrical conductivity.-I did not breakdance, do the locomotive, the lawn mower or the sprinker.-I did not think dancing with a girl was the awesomest feeling in the world because *tee hee* we were hugging.-I did not at any time, wear "Keds", play with "snapdragon" flowes or wear Oshkosh B'gosh.
