bigpoppanils Posted August 2 Report Posted August 2 taken from ministry of sound's website:AIR REMIX COMPETITIONRemix frenchie-duo Air’s single, get it played on XFM and used on a compilation. Simple non?Xfm are running a competition for wannabe producers to remix Air’s ‘Lucky and Unhappy’ track from the ‘10,000hz Legend’ album. The best remix will be picked by Air’s Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel. It will then feature on Xfm’s second double compilation album ‘The Remix 2’, alongside material from the likes of Peaches, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx and Prodigy, which is due for release in October. The winner will also get their remix played on Xfm’s ‘The Remix’ show with Eddy Temple-Morris & James Hyman, whose show regularly features unknown remixers. To enter simply download parts of ‘Lucky and Unhappy’ for your track from the Xfm website, www.xfm.co.uk/theremix. There are no minimum equipment requirements for the competition, as long as the remix is submitted on a digital format (DAT, CD etc) and the quality is good enough for inclusion on the album. Samples from other tracks and recorded artists cannot be used though. All remixes must reach Xfm’s Eddy Temple–Morris and James Hyman by August 23rd 2002 to be included in the competition and every entry MUST include a signed entry form to be printed off the Xfm website or available on request from Xfm's reception. The address for the competition can be found on the website. You can hear the show on Fridays 9–11pm on Xfm, 104.9 fm in London, Sky Digital Channel 864. Quote
