new albums from sasha and underworld

after a bit of finageling, i managed to get my grubby mitts on the new albums from sasha and underworld. And all I can say is that they're DOPE!!!

The sasha album sounds like a mix between vangelis/early detroit techno/hybrid/kraftwerk but with that bedrock flavor mixed in.

The underworld album is BLINDING, maybe I am biased because i've always liked their work. Even without darren emerson, this album sounds like classic underworld. Warm pads, electronic blips, the trademark haunting vocals, and classic analogue synths, awash in a sea of chemicals.

I don't want to come off as a person who only likes one sound, but these two albums are f***king INCREDIBLE!! The sasha album was released today but the underworld album doesn't come out until sept.1. you can download some of the new underworld tracks off of the web.

i've had both albums since early june. the underworld wins hands down for album of the year. although the sasha is a grower. the last couple tracks on there are the bread winners.
