Go early as possible, it is packed no matter what open track day it is.... What kind car do you have? Also the odds of running your buddy is slim... It all depends on which lanes move faster and how many deep you are. Bring a helmet and for god sakes, please learn how to drive, if you don't know what you are doing, ask! When you cross the line, and you are in the right lane make sure you watch your opponent, don't cross over to exit the strip until he does or its clear. Don't bother with the water, driver around it, your car doesnt' need to heat the tires up unless its a stang, vette, viper etc with some nitos on them... Windows up, if an auto, preload the brakes when the tree turns green drop the hammer! Remember its a straight tree, not a pro tree, so you are running against the clock not the other car, so reaction time does not matter, even though you'll see your actual reaction time on your slip.... Your 60 foot time is the key time to improve on. after that is just horespower....If you've never been its the best 20 seconds you'll ever have... I miss my stang.... Nothing like hitting the line at 120mph in only 1280 feet!!! :eek: Check out the 4 wheel drive eclipses, their burnouts are the best... all 4 wheels smoking them up.. its a rare sight...have fun...
