Stasis is a scientific term that basically means "standstill." It is a state of relative inaction.

Delving deeper, however, it comes from the Latin word for conflict, and that is where it gets interesting to me. Something that on the surface seems calm, but basically is the result of two forces clashing against one another; Both strong. Both unyielding. T

That, to me, is peace, when there is an active struggle in life, to seek out, taste what is real, pit ideas against each other, to wrestle and sometimes win, and to sometimes lose.

To experience loss and then turn and seek victory is stasis...

losing and letting oneself drown in that loss is only self-destructive.

I try to focus on the good memories of that person, and at the same time move on, trying to find new things to fill in the void.

I must say that music helps so much. Going out and meeting new people to fill in the gaps is important

i wasn't necessarily referring to the death of someone, but that works, too .
