CHRles
Hmmm Friday night you might wanna head out to tourist areas like Mannequins, where Friday nights they'll play a lot of the House music charting on Billboard's club chart. There's also Metropolis (located on the second floor of Pointe Orlando on I-Drive), which tends to blend the more familiar House, Trance, and Breaks anthems on that night. $7 admission price gets you into both Metropolis and The Matrix.http://www.matrixmetropolis.com/Sadly both Mannequins and Metropolis close at 2.If you're in Downtown Orlando head over to the smaller bars/lounges, like Level 3, Zinc Bar, Alpha Bar, etc. Saturday night Icon is hands down the best place to go for Progressive House music. Their Friday night is usually about Florida Breaks, but it looks like it's kinda up in the air at the moment. http://www.icon-nightclub.com/Also on Saturday night Tabu has a lot of Hard Trance and UK Hardhouse in the mainroom:http://www.tabunightclub.com/There's also a number of late night/afterhours clubs that might interest you. You can find out a bit more about them over here:http://pub2.ezboard.com/fpaintedpuppy56588frm27.showMessage?topicID=268.topichttp://www.radiusunderground.com/
bluespring
We are staying at 8222 Jamaica Court, International Drive, is that downtown area? And is it close to the clubs/bars that you mentioned? CHRles
If you're staying on International Drive you're pretty close by car to everything. The Matrix/Metropolis at Pointe Orlando is also on I-Drive. Downtown Orlando will probably take you 15-20 minutes to get to by car, though I-Drive can really get jammed with cars heading out to Downtown, so keep that in mind. Mannequins is located in the Pleasure Island complex, which is where Downtown Disney is. From I-Drive it'll take you like 15 mins to get there (or less, depending on where you are on I-Drive).As for Thursday nights in Orlando, clubs usually play either Breakbeats or Hip Hop in almost every place you'll go to on that night. Still, cover charge is cheap, so just feel free to roam around and wander the clubs and bars till you hit up something you like.

Is it necc. to dress up or can you get away with more there because it is a touristy area??
bluespring
Going there mainly for Disney World. It's my first time to Disney World. I feel so excited. We are staying until monday. So we should be able to check out one club or two. I am not sure which part of International Drive we are on. I only know we are staying at a place called Master Inn on International Drive. We didn't plan to get a car because our original plan is that Disney World everyday. And we might be too tired to go clubbing afterwards. But I just want to be prepared just in case that I want to go dancing. If we don't have car, what other ways can we get around? Is taxi expensive? What do you recommend us to do?Originally posted by CHRles If you're staying on International Drive you're pretty close by car to everything. CHRles
mrjoebusious is of course right. Some of the places I forgot to mention are Knock Knock, Sky 60, and AKA Lounge, and they're all in Downtown Orlando. BTW, I definitely recommend renting a car in Orlando, but if it's your first time down there you might just want to focus all your energy on all the obvious tourists attractions that center around Lake Buena Vista (Disney World) and Universal Studios. Oh and FYI, International Drive is a VERY long street full of hotels, restaurants, and lots of little tourist shops.
