DaVe
Received by Clubplanet.com today:--------------------------------------------FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEGRAND OPENING OF MAZE TO FEATURE SPECIAL DJ SET BY BTNewest club on SoBe scene debuts on Friday, November 29thMAZE, the highly anticipated dance club to open on South Beach, will enter the scene with a spectacular lineup of DJ talent, including a special DJ set by BT (Brian Transeau) on Friday, November 29.BT has been a major force in pushing the boundaries of electronic music, from his early collaborations with Deep Dish in the early '90s, right up to his first Nettwerk release, Movement in Still Life, released last year. With pioneering production techniques, BT's initial inklings leaned towards a more atmospheric, celestial brand of progressive house featured on his debut record "IMA" and the sophomoric release ESCM. Both elevated him to the coveted role of electronic music icon and helped to pioneer and refine the sound that has become dance music for the masses. Unpredictably eclectic, BT is an innovator whose electronic music has spanned both mainstream and underground culture simultaneously. His latest release is a career retrospective entitled 10 Years in the Life, which came out earlier this year.By lending tweaking credits to the likes of Seal, Madonna, Sarah McLachlan, 'NSync, Tori Amos and even "Mr. Tubular bells" himself, Mike Oldfield, BT has become one of the most in-demand remixers in the world.Joining BT on the high-energy DJ lineup are Bill Hamel (Dedrock/Ministry of Sound/Sunkist Records), Markus Schulz (93.1 Global Broadcast) and Pat Tetrick.Located on the popular west side of Miami Beach, MAZE features the world's most advanced sound system, the latest generation of Funktion-One's Dance Stack. Only one other club -- in Ibiza -- has a similar system, the predecessor to this revolutionary sound. In addition to the installation of the Dance Stack System, the 16,000 square-foot dance space will feature a "Twilo-esque" bleacher stand, private booths overlooking the dance floor, a spectacular Coemar lighting system and seven nitrogen jets to ensure cool comfort. Many other surprises are in store for the Grand Opening event, but owners Rich Van de Boom and Stacy Gallowhur are keeping tightlipped about them.Doors open at 10 PM, with dancing 'til dawn. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door and may be purchased at Grooveman Records, 1543 Washington Avenue. MAZE is located at 1290 18th Street at West Avenue, Miami Beach. For special VIP booths and further information, please call (305) 534-9975 or visit the website at www.clubmaze.com

pod
Two different audiences, I'm sure Maze will do well opening night. Personally, I'm going to do both, go to the new club, and see Picotto later on.
