DJ Mac C and Ali Geramian are the Low End Specialists. They've come a long way in a blindingly short time by doing things right the first time around. From their very first official remix – of DJ Vibe & Rui Da Silva’s classic 'So Get Up – to recent work for the likes of Bedrock and Yoshitoshi, Mac C and Ali have delivered tough 21st century tribal house, infused with a progressive international flavor, but powered by a distinctly New York energy and class.

"One of my favorite artists/producers with an edge. These guys will just keep on pushing.... they have covered club land with enthusiasm others need to learn from!" Omid 16B

Before the L.E.S, Mac was already one of NY's well-known DJ's, a Sound Factory resident and regular guest of Danny Tenaglia’s at his legendary Be Yourself night at Vinyl. They now hold down a residency at Centro Fly, a club that has established itself in the forefront of bringing quality music to NYC. Ali was an up and coming producer and DJ, but it wasn’t until the pair met through mutual friends four years ago that the seed for the Low End Specialists was planted. Not long after that first meeting, the pair turned out some tracks for themselves, something to help them stand out in the competitive NY house scene. But it was a telling factor that some of the first people to support their tracks just happened to be guys like Danny Tenaglia & Omid “16B†Nourizadeh.

"Mac and Ali are seasoned vets ready to get large - two to watch." John Creamer & Stephane K

With their remix of the Underground Sound Of Lisbon’s classic ‘So Get Up’ (Kaos) came the breakthrough that many producers hope for. The track received support from Satoshi Tomiie, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler and was featured by John Digweed on his KissFM radio show. They’ve since remixed the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler & Mistress Barbara including a remix of Fierce Ruling Diva's 'You Gotta Believe' (React), which was rinsed out by the entire A-list of tribal progressive house and eventually found its way on to Satoshi Tomiie's NuBreed album for Global Underground. Mac and Ali's original productions have been just as well received, with Deep Dish charting 'Smoked Piece' (Hydrogen Records) at #4 and getting featured by John Digweed & Sasha on their 2002 Winter Music Conference Essential Mix. Deep Dish & John Digweed have since requested the duo's unique sound for several remixes on their respective labels Yoshitoshi & Bedrock.

"Mac C and Ali Geramian are part of a new breed of producers emerging from the long-stagnant NY scene, poised for great success and recognition in the coming year, with a slew of original material and remixes-many of which we have been fortunate enough to have played to enthusiastic audiences..." Ali Shirazinia (Deep Dish)

We're already halfway into 2002 and LES are in the throes of inking an album deal, touring the world relentlessly, and the remix offers now outweigh the free hours in a day. The move from prodigies to peers of their heroes has been lightning fast, and the buzz surrounding them grows ever louder. It’s the kind of buzz that ends up selling large numbers of records. But you don’t so much hear word of it; you feel it - ‘cause it’s a Low Frequency thing, of course.

Here's a link to their KissFM mix, enjoy!!!:D
