slightofhand
Are people still feeling this style of music, or have the harder, more commercial styles taken over?

barbarapleaze
if you're looking for a deep house discussion, you're looking in the wrong place girls. These children know nothing about it.I can attest that it's alive and well and thankfully not commercialzed.

slightofhand
There are actually a fair number of deep house spots/nights thruout (sp?) the city...So if it's deep house one is looking for, that thirst can be satisfied almost any day of the week.As for Chicago house... that's a bit harder to come by. Unless you're talking about Derrick Carter who passes thru town once in a blue moon...

I went to see Terry Mullan at Centro a few wks ago; I don't know if his style has changed that much or if it was just because of the venue, but I was sorely disappointed! pyrrosdimas
I am talkin' about some nice, deep, vocals...Stuff like Franck Roger - Samana. Have you heard that one? Very sweet, laid back track... I also like deeper tracks than that for the most part. That is middle of the road as far as I am concerned. Thanks for the help so far! heretic909
Yeah, I heard Shelter was a really fun party on Saturdays for deep house. Not my kinda music, so I haven't been, but I heard the vibe was really cool there and the music was pretty tight.
