forreals. i miss 'The Church' too....hope it'll be back someday in that space.

as for LoLa, i had a LOT of good times there with great friends. The 'big deejay, little club' nights were off da hook. it never really got crowded for some reason, but it brought GREAT talent and THAT i'll miss :(

A very good friend on mine does all the club lighting installs for all the major clubs in NYC (i.e. twilo, roxy, shelter, etc. etc. etc.) and he said he got the gig and will be flying down here to install there light system for them

So NERVE, I guess the plot thickens!!!

Nerve/Lola/whatever the hell it's gonna be called hardly needs an epic lighting system. A few Colorpros, some RGB LED color changers, and it's good to go. Waste of money if you ask me flying down an expert from New York, when a local lighting company could do it for less.

I must concur .. 1) Give the business to one of our local companies... 2) Lola/Nerve/whatever doesnt need extravagant lighting

your 100% correct, they should do away with lights and the heck with - w/ Steve dash - what a waste of money when there is a perfectly good radio shack down the block............hey better yet let them put a euro couch in there (like every other lounge on the beach) get a DJ from Hialeah and throw a hip hop party................the next blue ribbon in a can is on me guys - or better yet maybe we all should fly to NY

Party hard!!!~!!!

I'm not suggesting that the Nerve people go to Radio Shack. There's plenty of local expertise around. Maze's sound system was installed by locals, for example. But since you seem to live at an unopened club, I doubt you've been there.

First of all, Steve Dash does sound (hence "Steve Dash Audio"), not lighting. That renders your previous statement invalid. Flying Steve down to do audio work in my mind is worth it if you've got the $$$.

Back to the lighting thing though, there's no company in New York that can do a lighting job better than a firm down here. So in that case, it would make sense to go with say SEAL, or Terry Mac's outfit, or Martin directly.

Now I ask you, are the Nerve folk flying down someone for audio or lighting?
