bassboy Posted February 2 Report Share Posted February 2 Ok guys,I must admit that although I have lived in DC for 4 years I have never found anything (outside of Buzz-the real one @ Nation) that made me feel anything like being home in NYC.But tonight..... I hit up 5 for Josh Wink, who was real good although he played a very old set engineered for the gay crowd... does he always sound like that?But THEN I hit this afterhours party at the fucking internet cafe on Conn Ave next to 1223 that opens from 5-9!!!!!Hard ass almost SF style house, sick place with couches and a tight system, and an absolutely amazing vibe.I was standing on the bar screaming during Dark Beat. I don't think they make to 8pm. The party starts at 5am. But maybe one day it will get that far, who knows.But this is a great afterparty for Glow.
