I just came back from allure.com and i have to ask: WHO THE FUCK PAYS $300 ON THEIR HAIRCUTS???:puke:Some of my girlfriends pay over $100 and I STILL think that's totally unreasonable!!!!! I only pay the MOST 40 bucks cause i go to these awesome domincan women in sunset park, bklyn. I get a dye a cut annnnnnnndddd a blow dry for like 50 dollars!! Not to mention that the dye i use lasts like months longer than the dye I see other girls get.

I'm just curious, do all you guys spend like, a thousand dollars when you go to the salon?????

I get a wash, cut, and blowdry and its about 60-80 including tip..i have really long hair though, over a hundred dollars is just ridiculous though...hair is hair, its going to grow...i dont see spending that much money on something so temporary

i used to get my hair cut at jon barret and frederick fekkai and that cost over a hundred plus a tip...but then i woke up :-)

i now go to this place in forest hills and pay $35 plus 20 for the tip and i get the same cut but without the snobby attitutdes.

I would love to try the salon Ouidad... they're curly-hair specialists. A cut costs $100, $110 if you want the owner herself to cut it.

However, I do not in any way shape or form have enough disposable income for this. So, I opt instead for a $20 haircut at this chain near my job. There's a woman there who knows how to treat the curls right. I think it'll do for now. ;)

No, that's the one on 23rd and Bway right? It actually looks really nice, but it really scares me to change hairdressers! The place I go to is actually on 14th right off of 5th, I forget the name.

I have gotten my hair cut at $200, but that was a birthday present from 2 of my friends. My hair came out absolutly amazing anf kept its shape for actually a few months without me having to get my hair recut. But obviously, I cannot afford that, so I now pay $60 (wash, cut, blowdry) and it really does look just as good.

I cant stand the way my hair looks if I blow dry it myself.. I Like flat, smooth looking hair & I can never seem 2 get it that way..So I go once a week(sometimes twice) & get my hair blowdryed then flat ironed for $25 w/ tip..They do such a nice job & r done in 20 mins opposed 2 me spending over an hour & not having it look half as good

I've actually tried other places that are cheaper for a haircut but never liked the results. They would always give me a rush job, cut my hair shorter than I wanted it, and styled it the way they wanted to. I pay $125 when I go for a haircut & it's very well worth it. I've been going to Oribe for about 6 years now and absolutely love the way my stylist cuts & styles my hair. When it comes to hair - I don't take chances....

Hey it all depends on your hair type and the type of cut that you want. I have straight thick hair that just about anyone could cut decently. But if you had some complicated layered all over deal than it would be worth the extra paper to get it done right.

But I finally had my taste of a bad haircut, went somewhere for a cheap trim for 15 bucks, ended up going to get it redone for a cool hundrred just to gix all the mess that had been made, eek! Yes I was crying!!! :'(

Its hair!!! It will grow back soon....buy something that will last, a good pair of shoes maybe.

i thought for a second that if i had the money i would do the same...nah.

i think it's crazy. i have a friend that pays over 100 for a cut and she goes once a month because her hair is short. were do you go to get a cut in bk? i want it short in the front and tapper long towards the back. the lady i went to did not tapper it enough.

thanks for the info

my sister gets her hair done at AKS, and a good friend of ours gives her a break on it... however its like 300-400 for a cut and color... (this guy has been in cosmo, allure, and the like cut hair for many celebs and he says that these ppl would pay twice that, because theyre not really paying for the cut, but for the pampering, the treatment and the environment...)
