thehog
Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, the first wave of B-2 Stealth bombers left Thursday for the Persian Gulf. The United States has built up special facilities at an air base on the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean to accommodate the unique needs of the B-2. That means the stealth bomber will require fewer midair refueling missions if ordered to drop bombs on Iraqi targets.

pod
Maybe they are actually taking my advice after all. Instead of commiting all these ground troops, let the B-2s, B-1Bs, and BUFFs do the work. All can carry the TLAM-C missile, which can easily seek out and destroy Iraqi troop concentrations, tanks, buildings, etc with pinpoint accuracy. Hell, I bet it could knock on the door before blowing up Saddam's house. Plus, they can strap Hellfires onto the Predator drones and do the close-in work remotely. Hell, turn it into a game, let the people download copies of Flight Simulator, and tie it into the drones The trick to this conflict, if it happens, is to get in, fuck 'em up, and get out. No protracted engagements, occupations, or anything.
