anyone want to answer my question about intercoolers?

it cools the air before it goes into the motor

intake > intake side of the turbo > intercooler > intake mani > bust chamber > exhaust manifold > exhaust side of the turbo > downpipe > exhaust

if there is air in the intercooler, there is a bypass valve or also called the diverter (sp) valve that will spit it back into the intake stream after the MAF sensor. this will insure quicker respool of the turbo inbetween gears.

correct me if im wrong.

a)the cost of the modifications exceeds the cost of the car itself.

B) why start out with such a slow car to begin with?

Do Type R stickers on Saturns mean its really a Type R? NO!! So the Spearco name on a non-functional "intercooler" is just that... bullshit!

Show me a pic of the engine compartment and we'll see...

Exactly... intercoolers have either entry/exit points on the same side, or opposite sides. You can't pull/push air in the middle like that. That thing is NOT an intercooler. Sorry boss.

what are you talking about in the middle????

it says it has a spearco IC in the stats.... i don't see why this is in debate?

heres another pic:

anyway.. i wouldn't personally choose a tiburon, but its not bad considering cost, and they definately did a nice job.... if you saw that on the street, you'd eye it up...

i dont like its armour. i like accesiblity. not that many cars now adays have any of that, but i still like the concept of easily being able to change spark plugs.

I would agree with you here, but for a different reason.

Its obviously a show car, but being the gearhead that I am, I like to see a really impressive engine, with an equally impressive turbo. Screw accessibility, if the shop builds it, let them have to deal with taking it apart.
