Review of Femme Factor at Lumonics

This is part of a review of Femme Factor by DJ Devon that appears online at SouthFloridaRaves.com. Femme Factor is a once-a-month event at Lumonics. I (Club Planet name:lumonicat) am one of the hosts of the events and work the lighting controller in the dance space at Lumonics, Nite-Light Gallery. Lumonics is definitely a different vibe from other clubs, and is essentially a 2-part event. First, the light and sound show with live projection, lasers, and original digital video (has been called sensory bombardment of the future), followed by the dance party in the adjacent Nite-Light Gallery. We do a second light show at 4 a.m. Hope you check it out.

"We also went to check out Femme Factor, an all female dj lineup. All of the girls that spun were outstanding. Tempest was an awesome dj, one that worked the crowd relentlessly. Rebekah Furey was a sensational Drum & Bass dj that had the local ravers congregating around the booth to watch her magically fuse the records into one long groove. Sage pounded the hard progressive house and trancey tunes into the night. The last dj (KeeKee) was a breaks dj that could rival baby Anne in her funky style with loads of attitude. A breakers dream dj, she rocked the beats out for everything she was worth. The lighted art was blinking and strobing all night long as the music continued to draw more people into the place. There is just not enough space for all the great things Lumonics has to offer. This is our spot and we hope that all of you have a chance to experience the special events every Friday & Saturday this month. The whole night is a perfect setting for anyone that enjoys the comfort of home, a professional visual show, and the love of a good party."
