DP as in double penetration. They'll have DJ DVDA next week.

I'd imagine Tiësto's contract only specifies a 4 hour set. For an extended set, I'm sure he costs a lot more.

That's why I like my house DJs better. Deep Dish, Lawler, Danny Tenaglia, Saeed and Palash, etc...on average, they get a good six hours or so, with DD and Tenaglia going for far longer...more bang for your clubbing dollar. PvD, Tiësto, and so forth may be good trance DJs, but they command top dollar, and play pathetically short sets...every time I've seen either of them, they are there and gone.

duration of sets don’t necessarily equate to quality nor value.

Yeah, but for chrissakes, 99 percent of the good house DJs out there spin for six hours or more...why can't the trance DJs do so?

maybe at space they do, but when you consider most clubs around the country are open from 10-5 .the probability of an extended set, would seem out of the question.

also as has already been noted, most trance and techno DJ's do play extended sets. they just don't do it here. this may have to do to with the american audience, the venue hours, or additional $$$ required for the same. it's is really subjective, in nature more then fact or genre based.

Very true Tony.... I'd rather hear a banging 4 hour set than a 6 hour snoozer.

I have to admit that both times I saw Tiesto, he was fantastic.
