beatfix
Ladies and Gents,That was someone else who compared Tiesto to Devito. I was just tossing some flack to Mr. Innom about his knowledge of music, or lack of... whatever. But enough of that... it's all love as far as I am concerned. Do keep in mind that Americans are somewhat in the dark on the electronic music front. You just don't get the exposure here as you do elsewhere... that is a shame.Commercial, underground, whatever, if Tiesto does it for you... awesome, but he has yet to produce such special nights as Erick Morillo's birthday @ Discoteque, Danny @ Twilo, etc. That is just my opnion. As for slinging insults at my friend. I'll gladly send you some of his work if you'd like and if you don't, then feel free to trash it, but don't knock it till you hear it.As for the 5 people he played for @ 1015 in SF, or the 5 @ Drais in Vegas, or the 5 @ Avalon in Boston, or the 5 @ DC-10 in Ibiza or the 5 on the Terrace, or the 5 people NYE @ GAS, Sydney. LOLthanks hun the two thoughts in my last post were not meant to have any sort of logical connection, ie the first statement being drawn from the second.. which is exactly why i made it first so as to break up the inevitable erroeneous conclusion that would be drawn from reading them sequentially in the reverse..the fact that i thought they were crap was not b/c they are commercial.. not by any means.. i can think of many tracks that became commercial which are quality productions.. i just happen to think the tracks that were isolated in that post were cheesy, unoriginal tracks which basically sound like everything else he produces..and(a point unrelated to the former) they are very commercial... as bigpoppa put it, which i'd have to agree w/, tiesto is like the britney spears/boy band version of electronica..
