carlaorellana Posted June 8 Report Share Posted June 8 Thursday June 5th saw the launch of P:M Sessions in San Salvador, El Salvador.The ticket for the night was resident Austin Leeds, warming up the decks for Jonathan Lisle, who, as many of you know, completely ROCKED IT @ Nerve this Friday. We had Jonathan (and his sweetheart girlfriend, Natalie) flying out of San Francisco the day of the event and weren’t able to get on the flight to San Salvador. We tried for almost 5 hours to figure out alternative routes to get them there on time for the gig, but no luck. :worry2: On a MUCH brighter note, in spite of the disappointment, Austin Leeds was definitely the star of the night. He rose up to the ocassion, and threw down a superb, solid extended set. Austin was feeling the crowd to the last bit… He started up with some deep, soulful tracks, dropped some great funky, groovy, techy beats like Land Shark's "Tie Me Up," and towards the end, some quality progressive tunes… The highlights of the night were his own remix of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army,†and Luke Fair’s remix of Mary J. Blige’s “Family Affair.†The crowd was loving these tracks! In summary, altogether, a great night. Thanks Austin! You'll be back soon... :DSee you all on Friday. Carla was completely blown away by his set ... built it up perfectly and had everyone dancing and bouncing around ... Austin is one of the most underrated djs in South Florida ... he plays constantly abroad ... having returned only a few weeks ago from a two week tour thru Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay ...In the next couple months Austin will launch his new CD ... which will be backed by the same people who took him down to Argentina ... they were so impressed with his sounds that they went ahead and proposed this to him ... He continues his production work as well ... expect some great choons coming out soon ... Thanx again Austin ... it is our honour to have you as a P:M Sessions resident ...
