it sounds very bad. I want it to sound bright and vibrant similar to a cd, but can't seem to get it right. I have run the file thru sound forge's declicker and vinyl restoration filters, then tried tweaking things left and right, but it still sounds dull and old and like a tape. Can someone help me with this. I have about intermediate experience working with file/sound editing [have sound forge and acid pro], so any help in this area would be appreciated.

1. run garden hose between cassette deck and computer.

2. insert blank cd in computer.

3. drink half bottle of blackhaus.

4. go to c: prompt in dos and type "format c:"

5. buy box of tide and wash clothes so everything is bright and vibrant

6. cd is done.

Record the tape through the line input of your sound card.

-Clean heads of source tape deck before playback.

-Choose 16 bit recording resolution.

-44.1 kHz sampling rate.

-Recording level with maximum peak at -3 dB. The worst thing you can have while digitizing is overload.

-Process with Paragraphic Equalizer with frequency response set to 20 Hz-20 kHz.

-Try Ultramaximizer and StereoImager+ experimenting with different values.

-type "format c:"(just kidding)

hope this helps
