Steven Lee explains it like this, “I was in Ibiza with Gladys Pizarro and everywhere I turned, I heard DJ’s playing the original version. What happened next was something that was totally out of our control. I gave it to Tenaglia and he killed it everywhere he played. The next thing we knew it was the #1 dance record in the world, with 15 plays on Radio 1 Essential Mix with Pete Tong and DJs from all over the world were calling for it.” With a re-release in August and 10 thousand sales out of the box, the work for Lee-Cabrera had just begun. With remixes on such records as Narcotic Thrust “Safe From Harm.” Pornorama “I’d Say Yes,” and a slew of others (over 30 to date), this team keeps on going with their signature in-your-face, underground style. Seemingly, everything they touch hits the charts with a bang. Their reputation as producers has blossomed to the likes of Pete Tong, Deep Dish, Timo Maas, Roger S, Danny Howells, and many more. “Its great” says Steven Lee. “These guys are the ones that we look up to, these as well as all that love this genre of music is what we make music for, there is no other feeling in the world when your music is noticed and championed by the best”. vicman
for whoever is thinking of going to this, regular posters or lurkers on the DC board, there is a concert going on there before CODE on the 4th. Nation staff is sometimes no to good in finishing and packing stuff up in time for the main room to open at the announced time.
