dialectics
Hi all....looking to purchase a digital camera, but one with a good strong flash and pocket-sized for taking snapshots inside (dark and smoky) clubs. 3+ megapixels only, of course any suggestions?peaz, rob
bklynzzfinest
Depends what you are willing to / can spend....I recommend the Canon PowerShot S400 Digital Elph as the best small point and shoot digital.but its also $415 so its a tad pricey. You can get the Canon Powershot S200 Digital Camera which is the same size, but with a lower pixil rate, and what have you.Its still a great camera and its much more affordable. Ive seen it as low as $

dialectics
yeah i was looking at the canon s400 - it seems like the way to go, though people did complain about the dim flash. i'm also looking at the pentax optio s (its so tiny!) but still, i'm not quite sure how the pix will come out. liqidtouch
do ur self the best favor and go for the 4+ mpixel camsmainly because of the FLASH qualityand resolutiion you will get in the end-always get the extra memory card-you really just need ONE as long as you take care if it properly-im now using the KODAK LS443 and its GReATalittle fat in size but still good for the pocketit takes awsome pickslike thisandand again withall in allits great when you really are good with timingagain its the 4+ mega pixledont bother with less if your going to use the stuff on the web at all
reddog4063
I have the Casio Exilim EX-Z3 3.2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom...it is very very tiny (size of credit card - one of the world's smallest and only .9 of an inch thick) with an awesome zoom and high pixelization and it works well in low light situations. It also is capable of recording mini-movies so you can catch some of the dancing in real time. With a 128mb memory stick this camera will run you around $600. It also turns alot of heads.Originally posted by dialectics Hi all....looking to purchase a digital camera, but one with a good strong flash and pocket-sized for taking snapshots inside (dark and smoky) clubs. 3+ megapixels only, of course any suggestions?peaz, rob
dialectics
yeah - you never know when you're going to need to take pictures of two girls kissing, so the shutter has to be fast quite a convincing demonstration, hehe

I have the Casio Exilim 2.0 which also records audio, and plays mp3's I love it! But Im thinking of upgrading to the new 3.2!The camerea is great because it is so small and weighs nothing so its great for taking out. On paper at 300dpi that would take up approx 7.5 by 5.5 inches.
