djmattreid
im not to big of a fan with powered speakers. i'd rather have speakers and an amp. but if you want them, check out the maickes. its pretty good
djdeanmasi
Are u talking about powered studio monitors? If so... YOU NEED KRK V8's. If u can afford KRK E8's, more POWER to ya! Trust me, I've used other monitors and I've banged my head against the wall the whole time I've used them. It's important to use the right monitors. djdeanmasi
That's cool man! I started with the Alesis. It'll do the trick for now. They're very inexpensive as opposed to the KRK's. The KRK's are $1,000 for a pair right now (V8's). WELL WORTH THE MONEY! Good luck!

djustinh
I went with Event PS-8's and they are decent in cost, and have a great sound.About to add some more sound over here soon. Mackie makes some great monitors as well from what i have been told.
sh0rtbus
I have the M-Audio SP-5b's right now, and I may upgrade to the 8b and the 8s sub eventually, but the 5's have extremely good mid-high clarity, just not enough bass for me....sometimes it's harder to match low volume beats....
