I'm an honorary member of the South Florida 240SX Club, cause I haven't gotten my car yet. We had a meet today and found one of these puppies hiding in an orange. :D Definitely looking forward the 425hp at 17 psi that that little baby (RB26DETT) will give me. Can't wait to get started!!!

Might be lighter, but the S14 is much nicer looking. I am not only looking for performance. I want a sweet looking ride too.;

What I am thinking about getting is the AWD gearbox while I am at it with the engine. The orange one was set up with it, but only the rear hooked up. Is there a way to have the front linked as well? Like an adapter of some sort?

if you want AWD and you can get the AWD drivetrain, you need to have the front diff. hooked up and the center diff in place. The Skyline drivetrain uses an electronic clutch pack to bias torque between the front and rear diffs.

So basically you'd need a skyline donor car to supply the necessary computer, wiring, brackets and whatnot.

I'd ask how they did it with the orange car and what's keeping the fronts from being driven. 240's are better off with RWD anyway ;)

if you hooked up just the rear axle with the AWD tranny, that shit would be unbreakable, right?

when people would do tranny imports from japan for FWD dsms, they would get the AWD tranny because it was a fuckload stronger...
