beej77
Hi guys!Im messaging from London, and need some advice on what to do in New York on New Year's Eve! Now, I know going to Times Sq is the traditional place, but us Brits like to have a few beers to celebrate our NYE...im not getting excited by all the restrictions you guys put on alcohol, toilet stops and eating!!!Can anyone suggest places to go - bars or clubs that won't cost a fortune to get in to.ThanksTony
tastyt
My one suggestion would be that Times Square is the absolute LAST place you'd want to go for NYE. As far as anything else... It's not even August yet, I've haven't the first clue what's going on!!!

beej77
Thanks... on a general advice thing....do you have to pay to get into bars on NYE, is it easy to go from one to the next.... we're looking at accomm on the Lower East Side, is that a good place to be based??? tastyt
If it's a bar/lounge you're looking for... there are TONS in the LES... and even more a short walk away in the East Village.
todd0076
Yeah definitly stay away from Times Square, but the actual clubs will be very expensive at the door on NYE through the next day or so. The big clubs are sure to be at LEAST $100 to get in. Your best bet would be to order advance tickets for good parties at clubs if you are into that scene. If you want to do just bar and lounge thing you should be fine. But you have a WHILE before you will be hearing about New years.
