  1. I don't remember when Twilo opened, but Soundfactory definitly closed in '95
  2. I am a big Junior fan, but to be honest I was not much of a fan of Junior's World at all. Mainly because Jr's vocals aren't what do it for me, I love the hard tribal that Junior plays and that was definitly NOT showcased on JW.....so I can understand what people are saying about str8 people not being able to get into the fluffy music. I am gay, but to me a lot of it is fluff and the same fluff week in and week out, if they had played some of the hard tribal Jr we get out at the club I think the radio show would of appealed to a much larger audience. To be fair, sometimes they would play some tribal but it definitly was not the usual thing. Just my $0.02
  3. Can anyone say door policy? Seriously, how would everyone fit for this in Spirit
  4. The last Red Party was one of my favorite Jr events ever, I cannot wait for this!!
  5. IMO Jr's day time partys like this are SO much fun, he always keeps the energy level up real high and he will probably keep you there pretty late
  6. I can understand the price with the open bar, but I know most people (at least the ones I know) are going to be going out mainly for afterhours as the city is a lil' too crazy when the ball drops and I was planning on going to Crobar before I went to Junior's afterhours later around 8 or 9ish so if there is a different ticket price for after say 2am that is much cheaper I would totally consider Crobar as part of my NYE plans. And I do agree that the party the place puts together really matters the most this is why I am still hesitant about Roxy as the venue is the worst! Please keep us posted on the prices for afterhours
  7. Nahh, Junior is only 65 and Victor the next night is around that as well, $125 for the same DJ's that spin there mostly every Saturday ummmmm....I'll go on a regular week thanks
  8. Nice review, I have always heard negative things as well, but I'll have to check him out
  9. I totally agree, I would of never stepped foot in there after all the shit I went through there when Jr played there, but had a GREAT time at DT's party there and was very impressed with the venue and the party in general.
  10. I can't wait for this event, I haven't been back to that place since Junior's parties there, and I had a lot of fun numerous times there (though just as many scary times, i.e. taking my shoes off and being molested at the front door by their shady security) but things I hear are changing so we'll see
  11. Yes Danny is definitly NOT a hard tribal dj, personally I LIVE for his tech-house sets, there is NO ONE that compares IMO. But still to this day I have never heard a more varied set from a DJ, he can satisfy so many different crowds it's amazing. It's all about the soul though, all the tracks he plays have SOUL tribal, classics, garage, tech whatever they all got it. But I definitly agree about his CHOICE album, it truly is an amazing CD that people who TRULY appreciate house and all areas around it will love. Especially that second track by Yello (MY FAVE)
  12. God you can FEEL the energy in that room, I've never had the chance to get to hear Tony live, I definitly need too soon!
