  1. Am i the only one that was disappointed in Zabiela's set? I got there early and heard a piece of Dennis Rodgers who I thought was amazing, but I was kind of disappointed with JZ's set (mind you i've heard him before and am a HUGE fan). I think he's incredibly talented on the decks, and prob one of the most technical djs around, but I thought that intro was terrible. i mean seriously lay off the nobs a little.. at one point there was about 2 minutes of scratching and technical work. There were pieces that set that were really good, but overall I thought he got a little carried away. Glad everyone on here had fun. The party downstairs was alot of fun too, it was a hot lil line-up with some of NYC's finest up and coming djs. Pacha overall i thought was awesome. i heard so many bad things about it, but was thoroughly impressed aside from the way too loud main floor.
  2. Wow, I'm actually thinking about going to this... def an awesome line-up! I havenmt been to a party in ages. funny about the UFO's-- I saw a whole entire rack of them on sale in a store in the city the other day. Total blast from the past. I don't care, my pants are never being thrown out!! lol
  3. I've never heard an Ozgur Can set, but being that is proggy and electro, I'm sure it will be right up my alley. Plus the People boys will be throwing it down proper! Can't wait!
  4. I have super curly hair, so the regular straightening iron won't do.. i mean it does, but my hair curls back up in the slightest bit of humidity. Anyone here have really curly hair that could recommend a straightening iron? I have a revlon ceramic iron, it works, but I'm just looking for something better.
  5. Saturday is starting to scare me.. Kitty, we will def take more pics
  6. The infamous wheelchair will be in full effect! LOL
  7. Oh duh.. Ok now i'm reading the second page If you like Calderone's style, try Anthony Pappa Balance 006.. awesome dark trible stuff in there
  8. whats your definition of deep house? mark farina is a classic deep house dj... Check out House of OM cds, even the Cielo cloud 9 cd.
  9. Don't get DD, I was excited about it for like a day and a half and then it fizzled. I'd recommend the Everybody on Tour CD. All of Kleinenberg's CD's are great. well, If you like that proggy housey electro stuff..
  10. we need to embrace our "still young" age E.... when we start watching the price is right and baking cookies-- thats when its going to be sad. there!
  11. Because IMO, the first two djs are not nearly as creative (or may be, but don't spin as creatively anymore) as alot of other "hungry" djs are. alot of those are commercial sell-out djs... I was at a PVD "show" one time and he played "as the rush comes" TWICE.. enough said. LOL Tiesto-- I've seen him spin a track that sounded the exact same as his original production. meanwhile he was going crazy twisting knobs for the show of it. Please... I didn't realize this was a popularity poll.. I can honestly see these djs then being in the top since they appeal to the masses. I don't mean to be harsh.. i honestly really loved these guys back in the day, but I don't feel the same about them.
