trojanman Posted September 3 Report Share Posted September 3 oh man that shit sucked !!!!! i got there at around 11 with a few friends walked around and spotted the bar!! they had a couple of them shits..then i went looking for time slots to see who was spinning when. no time slots!!! i was like um ok ..then i looked for the second arena...they didnt have it ..i was like wtf!!! im glad i paid only 40 and not the 65 that they were charging at the door!!!! thats sum crazy ass shit!!! so then im listening to arman van helden and he had some good tracks but the guy didnt mix a record for more than 10 seconds.. i was like dayum!!! but its ok his tracks were good but mixing was bad, had a few trainwrecks here and there...and the host is screamin out NYC!!!! im like dayum i hope that not all nyc's dj's are this bad.....then comes icey and his set was good, reminded me of the PAC listening to those breaks... he played Zero - Emit Collect (Rennie Pilgrem Remix), one of my fav traxx ATM......then comes on Donald Glaude and i thought he was good with the crowd jumpin around on stage.. very short set though he wouldve been better if he had an hour cuz at ultra he rocked!! then im hoping to hear Roland or Markus right before PVD and Groove Armada comes out an just killed it for me ..went outside for a bit chilled out for a bit then left. i know i missed PVD but then again i just saw him in june and he was ok. im sure i didnt miss anything big cuz if he did start that set like his energy set i wouldve left cuz ive been listening to that set for a couple of weeksThe whole beach thing was reason i bought tixx, so the relocation blew it for me but i went just to see what was up. the lights were ok and the lasers were awesome. i love green lasers. but damn are they pricey! haha...my first review!! been a lurker for a while Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Althought they did overcharge us, we paid the same amount we pay to go to the REAL ultra!!! There was never a second stage!!!! It was cuz of the second stage that i decided not to sell my ticket... Not a big fan of any of the acts, but boy was i loving the tunes EVERYBODY was droppin... I thought armand van helden was good.... i liked icey , he played a different set than his oldskool ones, and it also wasnt all breaks!!! Donald glaude who i was really exited about seeing got cut off short, but i LOVED groove armada!!! That dude on the drumz was just insane!!!! after they picked up they picked up their set, it just peaked all the way through!!!! Didnt stay for pvd's whole set, wasnt really feeling it..my head was bobbing, but i just didnt feel like staying therer anymore!!!I loved the set up they had, even though it was only one room. Didnt have as many people as i thought!!! the scene is hurting or maybe alot of you guys didnt go cuz of the whole price thing and change of location:confused: Sorry u guys didnt enjoy it as much as i did, and im now wondering how in the hell i didnt see a single CPer, especially sobeton and his dancing shoes!!!!!
