Vegas is just where Ned Flanders goes when he feels like "living in sin". The WMC itself could move, but it wouldn't make a damn bit of difference...ken smith put it best last year...paraphrasing..."the Conference could move, but there'd still be as many massive parties on South Beach around the 3rd week of March."...i.e. the WMC organization is irrelevant. Seriously, why spend hundreds of dollars on a pass that doesn't get you shit anymore? You can meet the DJs at the parties, take the classes for free since the gear manufacturers often sponsor free seminars on their own, and the industry seminars have their free equivalents too.Let's lay it to rest:Vegas = doesn't matter, is not a club town. Miami > Vegas. it matters even more to bring awareness of our music to any place that doesn't have it... you know its like a fire- if it doesn't spread it will fizzle out and i never wanna see that happen... i am not saying we should move our WMC anywhere but i definitely think that we as a group of people with a passion for electronic music should constantly be trying to bring awareness to wherever we can.
