Exactly Ricky...As your attorney, I must provide you with accurate advice...In New Jersey, a ring given not on a holiday is a conditional gift...Thus, marriage is a condition precedent to the gift. If one gives it on a holdiday, say b-day, x-mas, valentine's day, the law presumes this to be an outright gift...NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
