ijiveu Posted November 1 Report Share Posted November 1 Does anyone know why Liquids is closed?...Its been over a month since I've last been there - but I've been hearing rumors that it might have closed down for good?!!!! - so i went there last nite with some friends and IT WAS CLOSED!!!I love hanging out in Liquids - great vibe, great people and sometimes some pretty awesome DJs - sets me in the perfect mood to go out clubbing later !!! Luckily, you'd be dead wrong. This new joint is more like Times Square in the the 70's than suburbia in the 50's -- a sort of "strip-club meets subway" ambiance that's sure to attract all those nostalgic for a pre-Disneyfied New York City. Complete with stripper poles, subway decor and vintage porn movies (who needs Showtime at Night?), you can't find a better example of white trash, glam rock nastiness anywhere this side of Broadway. You're killing me with all this news lately! I use to LOVE Liquids. *Sigh* My Thursday night spot! I'll come down to a party or two! Last few times I went in there in the past year and a half it was EMPTY...Its hard for a lounge to last more than 4 years in the city. People get sick of the same spot and it needs to be changed up.Dont be mad about the change, come check it out now. I think its gonna be great...otherwise I wouldnt be doing a party there. This place is all about fun, not how many bottles you are buying etc...Give it a shot before you knock it...you know me, I wouldnt do a party unless I really thought the place was great. If it's changed, then awesome. Change is good and always comes. Regardless, when Andy is working on a Thursday party, it's bound to be great!I'll be there....maybe not this Thursday but I'm definitely going to come out and show my support! -Andy, find out if they'll be open and you're doing the party on Christmas night.
