lelo Posted November 10 Report Share Posted November 10 Listen i know i had to put my opinion to the old thread about JP. But if whats going on here in NYC is true it really is a shame. I mean Jonny really hasnt been the same for the past 3 years you can say, he has been on a serious decline musically and in his personal life (drug abuse). They say NYC needs a change but not SF and not with Junior. I mean this was the last standing afterhours place on Sundays here in NYC. What will this place be without JP? He is Sf, i guess Grant felt that he can make this change and it will blow over well. I had alot of great memories from that place, musically and in every other category you can name. JP has declined, but as i think about it more no more sundays with the PRETTY PEOPLE its gone. Vinyl cant compare on a crowd level. What do we do here in NYC? Everything is changing, this whole loungy scene is taking over and the dark evil clubs are all disappearing. To JP good luck man something good will come out of this, if its true. SFSuperstar what the hell is going on???????RIP the house that JP built in '98 it will be missed.Lata peeps, give me some feedback and lets keep the bashing to a minimum i want to know what you guys really think, esp the peeps that do venture to NYC to SF this is a major deal. l155a Posted November 10 Report Share Posted November 10 wtf? 1. never liked JfuckinP2. the loungy scene was takin over a long time ago, i brought my friend from LA out clubbing in NYC and all we did was hit the loungy clubs. we had SF and Vinyl but she didn't like how they sounded so we went to the small loungy places including the ones that looked like they were built in someone's basement(like the apartment and many others).good luck NYC, but the loungy places with the sweet couches were the trend, everyone was telling me they were on the upswing a year annd a half ago. I know you never liked JP but listen this is the end of an era in NYC. The whole couch thing is cool to me but once in a while i need one of those "BAD" nights with lots of half naked girls, pounding bass and the illegal stuff.Just sad to see how it came to this. To be honest hun i hate trends, i was by Pangea and Joes pub and the ugly Euro trash and or Von Dutch crowd that pours out of these places makes me ill. I am just saying the loungy thing is ok but i need a place like Sf with a shithead dj like JP to play the "ANTHEMS" if you know where iam taking this. Tunnel oh my lord that was fun as well b4 DT started playing heroine house music and Vicious was great as well (anthem central). To stay on topic i will miss JP at SF, those 2 things were always a given and went hand in hand.
