danfury Posted November 22 Report Share Posted November 22 Going into Circa Thursday Night, I was expecting to see some of the old metro or hints of it at least, but the only thing left was the Chandelier. That definitely took me off guard. The transformation of Metro to Circa was flawless. From the lighting, to the layout, to the menu/drinks, to the red velvet theme... everything was done beyond the Norms. Petey K., George, and company really outdid themselves with this place. For the lack of a better Term.. Circa is SickkkkkKkkK.Now about the night... Tooch and I got there around 8:30 to join Kosta, Nootsy, Rydell and crew for dinner. Throw down a couple of appetizers and Martinis. Then headout to the main room at 10 where Toro came on and played a mixture of Hip Hop, Old School house, and vocals. It was more of a relaxed, hang out atmosphere which reminded me a little of how B'Lo's Friday nights (crowdwise and musically). A good number of BP's walking around which is always a plus.If u haven't gone to CirCa yet, check it out for dinner, to pregame, or to hang out for drinks when the muzik comes on. I was really impressed with the place, and it definitely lived up to the hype that I've been hearing.Good to see everyone as usual. Good times.Oh yeah... I was a little hesitant about the whole northern NJ lounge scene...I prefer to hit up NYC any time. Anyway, it was actually a good time...not terribly infested with the typical NJ crowd, then again, I don't go out here that much. I was surprised by the drinks...round of 3 beers and 2 top shelf drinks for $27...not bad at all. Music was questionable, but some good looking peeps in the crowd. Circa def does.Deko is still the premier Thursday Spot in New Jersey. But Circa is a GREAT GREAT place to go have dinner and then head on down to visit us at Deko.Great Vibe.....Not alot of women, but the women that were there very very attractive.A bit to much sausage in the house...but i understand they allowed that for KostaP to have a chance to take someone home:laugh: :laugh: All in all.....Great Time.Thanks to the Merge/Circa family for their hospitality.I look forward to many many more nights up at Circa.
