LA's Biggest Nightlife Company, LALate, Joining Forces with Charity DDALA to Prevent Holiday Drinking and Driving

DECEMBER 3, 2003 LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. LALate.com announced today with DDALA the launching of one of the largest campaigns ever in Los Angeles to prevent Holiday drinking and driving among Los Angeles youth.

LALate, the most successful company for nightlifestyle in LA, is joining forces this holiday season with the Designated Drivers Association of Los Angeles (DDALA) to help prevent alcohol-related drunk driving accidents.

DDALA offers the only service of its kind in LA to prevent alcohol-related accidents. On any Friday and Saturday night, DDALA will drive a person who has been drinking home in their own car free of charge. Supported by California's top elected officials and organizations including the DMV and Senator Barbara Boxer, DDALA year-round dispatches through its toll free number fully insured drivers who will get Hollywood clubgoers home safely in their own car after a night of partying.

With one of the largest followings of clubgoers in LA, LALate is joining with DDALA this holiday season in launching a campaign to prevent alcohol related injuries and accidents called the LALate-DDALA 15-15 Campaign. The campaign encourages LALate's countless clubgoers to pledge 15 hours or more volunteering as drivers with DDALA this holiday season in exchange for a 15% discount with LALate's Winter Clubgoer Plan.

"There is no greater gift this holiday season than helping your friends and perhaps saving a life," says LALate.com. "The 15-15 Campaign was created by LALate after we encountered a DDALA volunteer at Nacional nightclub in Hollywood in November. The next day LALate immediately contacted DDALA and asked to offer support. With one of the largest followings of clubgoers in LA, we are shifting our weight behind DDALA to encourage volunteering, increase awareness of the service, and consult DDALA as it expands its wonderful service in 2004 in other communities of Los Angeles."

"Between 2002 and 2001, there was 33% increase in fatalities and injuries attributed to impaired drivers", says Nick Yaya Executive Director of DDALA. "We want people to know we are out there, and what better way than to team ourselves with the biggest, LALate.com, that is connected to more clubgoers, restaurants, lounges, and nightclubs in LA."

During the holiday season, LALate will increase awareness of DDALA's service throughout LALate's family of services including in its newsletter. It's newsletter that is read nationally for its charting of LA events (the LALate 7-0ay Planner, etc.) has a market saturation of readers estimated at over 85% of VIP clubgoers in Los Angeles and recently received press in over five dozen media outlets for its 100th edition last month.

LALate will also serve as consultant for DDALA on nightlifestyle as it looks to expand its service outside of Hollywood next year, advising on everything from attendance rates and clubgoer densities throughout LA county. LALate has one of the best understandings of LA nightlife as the first ever one-stop websites for residents to get into the most exclusive VIP-only parties listing several dozen events sometimes per night and having carried every top lounge, restaurant, and similar hotspot opening this year including White Lotus, Shelter, the new Pearl, and the soon to be Tangerine.
