THE SPACE!

We are taking over the Marriott Michigan Avenue, located next to Nordstrom’s and in the center of all that is Michigan Avenue! The ballrooms of the Marriott are all connected by a center atrium, and these magnificent rooms are some of the biggest and tallest in the city, exquisitely decorated with crystal chandeliers and more! Adding in incredible sound and lights, as well as videocast from within the rooms, the energy will be over the top! And we have expanded our decorating as well for this year to create a whole new experience for you!

Their team takes it to a new level each and every time and New Year’s Eve will be their crowning performance for the year!

THE GRAND BALLROOM

DJ’s TERI BRISTOL & PSYCHOBITCH have been tag-teaming on the turntables for as long as I can remember. This dynamic duo is Chicago’s most sought after techno-team, laying down the most infectious high energy grooves, taking every room that they perform in to a new level. Their mix of old and new music makes not only for great energy, but a memorable night! BRISTOL’S recent CD received critical acclaim, especially her club anthem remix of THE WHO’s “Baba O’Reilly (Teenage Wasteland).†With the opening of CROBAR Bristol can be found behind the turntables every Saturday night and PSYCHO kicks it up at Vision, Zentra and clubs throughout the city! We were fortunate enough to be able to grab two of Chicago’s most popular DJ’s before anyone else beat us to it! Discover why the most popular clubs have to have these two on their turntables and you will discover a New Year’s Eve not to be forgotten!

DJ JOHN CURLEY, one of the founders of PURE is a Chicago legend, having opened for every major DJ in the world, from Oakenfold to Timo Maas, and has been (or is currently) a resident at every major club in Chicago: CROBAR, TRANSIT, REDNOFIVE, SHELTER, KARMA, and has toured extensively around the world and the country to bring his energetic mix of music to new fans in each city! He loves New Year’s Eve because of his popular countdown of 2002’s biggest hits leading into the midnight hour. The energy he brings to the room is unforgettable and we are excited that he is returning to countdown the New Year with us!

DJ JOHNNY CHAOS was recently featured in UR Chicago on the exclusive list of "Who's Who in Chicago's nightlife in 2002". He will soon be featured as an "Up and coming DJ/producer" in Cocktail Magazine, and in an article about the "most influential DJs in Chicago" in the Chicago Sun Times. His endeavors earned him a top 3 ranking in the "Top DJs in Chicago" poll on chicagofusion.com, Chicago's largest clubbing website. Others listed were Bad Boy Bill and Derrick Carter. He was also nominated "Best DJ in Chicago" in the annual Local-Sound club poll, held through Chicago's many club-related message boards. Johnny headlined the premier Exotic-Erotic Ball in Chicago, voted "Worlds #1 wildest and sexiest party" by E Entertainment, and is a member of the Chicago Mixmaster crew. He has had mixes featured on 16 mix radio shows and over 100 web sites worldwide. We are excited to Have Johnny Chaos opening up the Grand Ballroom!

THE CHICAGO BALLROOM (Dance Hits, Hip Hop & Energy):

DJ MARTIN “BOOGIEMAN†LUNA is one of the city’s best (and hardest working) DJ’s. He is known for producing, writing and remixing, including receiving music credits in MADONNA's movie "Truth or Dare." LUNA is usually at 2 different Nightclubs a night! As one of the original Saturday Night DJ's in the main room of The Legendary Chicago Nightclub SHELTER. DJ BOOGIEMAN was also spinning other hot nightclubs named STARDUST and KARMA. And today he still continues to be a crowd pleaser in the nightclub scene 6 nights a week! The list is impressive: BUZZ, NARCISSE, LE PASSAGE, TRANSIT, BETTY'S BLUE STAR LOUNGE, VISION, as well as guest spots at virtually every club in the city! If you haven’t heard his name, you must not get out much! And his energetic mix of popular dance music & hip hop will have you looking to find where he is spinning after enjoying his performance this New Year’s Eve!

DJ DANNY BOY is well known as the man behind the decks turning grooves for Chicago’s glamorous and hip. Musical front man for Chicagofusion.com and resident DJ at Buzz Nightclub and White Star, he regularly weaves a web of glitter grooves for Chicagoans in the know. His musical style is energetic and accessible, sporting a radio-friendly blend of dance floor anthems along the lines of Paul Oakenfold. Just recently, opening for the Paul Van Dyk at the House of Blues, Danny showed his true colors, thrilling the teaming masses with a perfect mix of lyrical bliss and soaring beats. Mr. PVD had a hard act to follow…

EXCLUSIVE VIP LEVEL:

In addition to private VIP areas on each level, this level is exclusively for our VIP guests. The 4th Edition has warm dark woods and brass accents, comfortable seating and a variety of lounging spaces. This lounge will only be available to our VIP ticket-holders with exclusive escalator and elevator access from both Ballrooms to chill in a more intimate environment. DJ’s AGENT 47 & JAY PRASSAD, will be featured in this VIP lounge.
