bxbomb
Would have been an awesome trade if they had kept Andy, but now its more like scrambling to fill a spot.Wever and Almonte for KEvin Brown is a steal on paper, he better stay healthy. if he does watch out Vasquez and Browns stuff are downright FILTHY AND NASTY!!!!!!!!!!still need another LEFTY though!! fkornre
very tru...but i feel that since the yanks didnt win the series last year a shake up and losing some key players and trying to pick up some new ones might help to put the yanks back on track...the yanks havent won it in the last 2 yrs with who they have...it was time for a change... I believe we're awaiting (1) him passing his physical and (2) him waiving his no-trade clause. But it's looking promising, Brown seems to have great interest in pitching in NY. clubrat88
i think vegas just put up an over/under of him starting 11 games before he gets hurt...1.Mussina2.vasquez3.brown4.contreras5.wellspretty shaky rotation compared to the last few years for you guys...and their ages are getting up there brown will be 39 at the start of the season, wells 41 with a bad back, mussina 35 (guy is a lock though) and contreras could be around 44 for all we know...if wells back cant hold up and brown shits the bed like he always does you guys are in serious trouble...only time will tell though...but let me ask you true yankee fans would you rather have the five you got or these1.pedro martinez2.curt schilling3.derek lowe4.tim wakefield5. bk kim

majinbuu
why would the yanks pay more $ to an older injury plagued pitcher?andy moght not be as good as brown....but he pitches more and is younger.the yanks got older and more fragile today... You're kidding right? Don't you see what is happening right before your eyes...the old George is back and is turning this club house back into the "Bronx Zoo". Hate to say it but Kevin Brown is an asshole in the clubhouse and we all know Sheffield is a head case. Welcome back to the 80's

Ill still have no problem going into a series qwith them . Mussina vs Pedro (CHECK PEDROS STATS AGAINST THE YANKS he is a .500 pitcher)Schilling vs Brown is a wash if both stay healthy. derrek lowe vs vasquez Vasquez is the better thrower and his #s will show it now being on a good teamWakefield vs contreras ..toss up as Wakefield knuckler is hit or miss he was On both games in the playoffs, but countless times hes been knocked out by the 3rd inning vs the Yanks if the knuckler isnt staying down. Contreras will be a full time starter this year not a relieverAND BK KIM!??!?!??! oh please let him start every single game against the Yanks ...that boy is so shell shocked vs the yanks and will prob wind up gettin run out of town in Boston anyway after he gave the fans the finger in september

clubrat88
well we now have foulke....and so far other than losing walker our offense hasn't lost any power that broke every record in baseball last year...and we upgraded our pitching staff immensely over what we had last year...we were only five outs from sending you guys back to the bronx...as far as bk kim goes hes only 24 with a full year of being under pedros belt to help him mentally he could be a dominating force just like your contreras who didnt show any promise as he lost every game he pitched in against the sox
