bklynzzfinest
I just bought a 97 Jetta 4 days ago. Lastnight I went out to the driveway and what do i see ? A puddle of Transmission fluid. Im just praying that its only a seal and not the clutch or transmission itself.Worst part is, bought the car from my aunt. So I know the problem wasnt something intentionally dropped on my shoulders. It leaves me with no one to yell, bitch, and scream at.

Teknojunkee
I HAD a '99 jetta...4 cyl...worst car you could ever have. I mean safety wise it saved my life but I also blwe through 7 Trannies on that car on only 1 clutch!!!About a month after the 7th tranny went I got taken out by an 18-wheeler. As said the police...how the hell are you standing here right now?I owe my life to it but I would never buy a 4cyl VW again. I know plenty of people with the VR6's and they have no problems.Tek

The only person I know who has problems with their VW had a '96 VR6 Passat, but I guess that year/model was plagued with problems. My girlfriend's transmission is starting to slip in her bug, but she's one of those people that puts the car in park when she's till doing about 5 mph. teklord310
Well that certainly sucks phat cock. Talk about bad luck. My family has purchased 3 used cars over the past 3 years and haven't had any problems yet.. Well except for the 944.. but that has seen the track a few times.
